Yep.

Would be so much better if an opposition party actually existed, but it is clear that one does not.

Memo to male GOP members of the House and Senate:
Please take a moment and reach down between your legs. There — feel those? Unless you relinquished them on the way to getting one of the cushiest jobs on the planet, those are your TESTICLES.

Now that you’ve located them, squeeze them to introduce a bit of testosterone into your circulatory system and then GET BUSY AND STOP THE MISERABLE, AMERICA-HATING SOB AT 1600 while you still might.

It takes the gooberment years to recognize a “problem,” years to take action to “fix” the problem, years to see that the action had no effect, negative effects, or even worsened the problem. And it takes forever (as in never) to reverse the “fix” that started the mess. As in DDT.

I think it was Mark Levin last week who was reading some of Boehner's quotes from when he first arrived in Congress in the early 90s - quite a contrast to today. Evidently, testicular shrinkage starts almost immediately after getting elected.

I am sure that he will take a page from Algore’s inaugural effort and stage this where the heat and humidity are maximized. Can anyone say “smoke and mirrors?”

Ans as others have pointed out, is this a “wag the dog” effort to sow FUD while distracting from his demonstrated failures?

As for the actual issue of climate, my problem is that even if you take the advocate’s worst scenarios and most drastic solutions, the ability of the human race, in toto, can do so very little without such extremes as population reductions that would make ‘decimation’ look like a walk in the park. Given the current ‘hiatus’ in this ‘problem’, the justification of ‘solutions’ becomes more government, more control and less liberty for little improvement. Qui bono?

Either you're correct or this is the arrogant Obama flipping us off while saying, ‘watch me blatantly drive another stake through the heart of America's greatness by pi$$ing away even more money on something everyone knows is garbage.’

I'm sure he sees value in poking us in the eye.

I try to look at this in light of the following questions: What does it mean to the non-enviro-nut left? What does it mean to independent voters? And more importantly, what does it mean to Democrats in the Senate that must run for reelection in 2012?

I think Dem Senators look at this and say, "oh shit, not this again, you mean now I have to face voters in town halls and attempt to back Obama up on Obamacare AND global warming?" The Democratic Party has already won its last election where they run on global warming. It's over. It's not a winning issue any more. That's why I say it is a monumental political blunder for Obama to even bring it up, it may even backfire, as the tide is swelling to repeal that which is already law.

Obama The Traitor has to keep energy prices high and the use of our own resources down to keep the big money flowing to his pals in OPEC.

Greenhouse gases and carbon....aren’t pollution. And for the EPA to stand and hint such..

It's not a "hint" they have declared them as pollution.

Please, let’s not attempt to impeach him, it’s what the donkey party would want us to do for them.

Agreed. Could not impeach him if he decapitated his daughters on live TV. But he can be tarnished to the point of being an albatross about the Democrats. The Repubs need to keep pushing on all the scandals, keep throwing mud.

Sweeping actions to stagnate Capitalism, and force Fascism.

That is the only way to promote Energy reduction by any Government.
This Government is doing it against the Taxpayer. Apparently
the Tax code is a Suicide pack.

Not only does AGW not exist, climate change is impossible to quantify. The countries that have dove head first into the AGW “battle”, Spain and Germany have done a complete reversal. Spain went broke, and the Germans (who are brilliant as a people) have begun to wise up.

Maybe because of this....

(PhysOrg.com) -- Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades.

The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age

1350 to 1750....a mini ice age....good luck surviving that with no electricity and GE modified crops that can't adapt to climate change. Read more at: http://phys.org/news203746768.html#jCp

...Obama can undertake all of these policies without congressional input...

Of course. That section of the Constitution that says the Executive branch can regulate every aspect of your home life, what kind of tv you own, how much electricity you use, etc.

What section of the Constitution is that again? Amendment 10?

Well said. Make BO the standard bearer for all Demonrat candidates. Make him the Jimmy Carter of this century in electoral politics.

“I just wonder how many trillions of dollars we’re willing to spend as a nation to have no measurable effect on the climate?”

IF everyone knew with reasonable certainty that actions proposed to “combat” climate change would have no measurable effect, then the vast majority would overwhelmingly reject such proposed actions and not want a dime spent on them.

Therein lies the problem. Relative to this particular issue, there are three camps:

1. The Common-Sense Realists
2. The Elitists/Alarmists and
3. The Useful Idiots/Gullibles.

There are too many in the 3rd category (most of whom are also called Low-Information voters) at this time who are ignorantly willing to empower political decision-makers who want to use this issue ultimately for power and control.

Unless and until the numbers of The Gullibles are reduced appreciably, we will continue to see Billions/Trillions thrown at this so-called problem.

I disagree. Obama clearly knows the damage his AGW regs will do to this economy. He will go forward with rabid glee.

the MSM will provide full cover and as a result the LIV will blame the Energy companies and Conservatives.

Obama's goal is the destruction of this Republic. AGW regs will go a long way to achieving that goal. It will not damage him politically.
