Either you're correct or this is the arrogant Obama flipping us off while saying, ‘watch me blatantly drive another stake through the heart of America's greatness by pi$$ing away even more money on something everyone knows is garbage.’

I'm sure he sees value in poking us in the eye.

I try to look at this in light of the following questions: What does it mean to the non-enviro-nut left? What does it mean to independent voters? And more importantly, what does it mean to Democrats in the Senate that must run for reelection in 2012?

I think Dem Senators look at this and say, "oh shit, not this again, you mean now I have to face voters in town halls and attempt to back Obama up on Obamacare AND global warming?" The Democratic Party has already won its last election where they run on global warming. It's over. It's not a winning issue any more. That's why I say it is a monumental political blunder for Obama to even bring it up, it may even backfire, as the tide is swelling to repeal that which is already law.

I disagree. Obama clearly knows the damage his AGW regs will do to this economy. He will go forward with rabid glee.

the MSM will provide full cover and as a result the LIV will blame the Energy companies and Conservatives.

Obama's goal is the destruction of this Republic. AGW regs will go a long way to achieving that goal. It will not damage him politically.
