I hear you! I haven't watched tv in a couple of years. And when I did, the last time I saw one of the former "Big Three" networks I think Billy Jeff was president. Who sits around until 6 o'clock to get a twenty minute report on "world news" from a bunch of New York liberals?

cbs, nbc, and abc still have evening news?I think it's where old people and low information voters go for their "news". As old people die off, so will these dinosaur "news" shows.

These Network Nimrods are still living in the fantasyland that they have so many viewers because they are so popular. What they fail or refuse to understand is that a fairly large American demographic watches them only because they have no other choice. In many markets, Fox is available by cable or satellite subscription only, whereas the network news parrots are available to anyone with rabbit ear antenna on up.

I can actually boast that I never watched ANY evening news cast from the 3 obama propaganda alphabet channels for the past 6 years.
Unfortunately when I’m at the airport, CNN is the channel there but thank God for wifi I can manage to go online and listen to my own stuff.

cbs, nbc, and abc still have evening news? lol Lots of old people and those too stupid to use a computer still watch the 'evening news'... Scott Pelley's spin on why people don't trust the news shows is funny.
. Some years back I had a conversation with a guy who wrote for my local newspapers ( and for the AP for many years before that...) Anyhow, he felt the paper was losing readers because of spelling, punctuation, and 'style-book' type errors.
I laughed.
The paper didn't have one conservative on staff and was known for it's 'left of left' stance on most issues. He just overlooked that elephant in the room.
It was like talking to a person who watched a bridge fall into a river after being hit by a barge - and that person is talking about seeing a sea gull walk on the bridge - and 'maybe that's why the bridge came down'...
Scott - it's not simple 'mistakes' in breaking news - that's going to happen. It's things like missing the importance of the IRS targeting people based on their political beliefs. Tell me CBS, would that story have been covered differently if the IRS had targeted gays unfairly for a few YEARS?

I didn’t realize the open air networks even still had news shows. I haven’t seen them in years. How do they even begin to measure their numbers? Nearly everyone is on cable and their numbers are easy to measure.

I can’t for the life of me figure how 20 million people are available every evening from 6 - 630 to watch network news.
I would like to watch Bret Baier but I can’t because 6 pm is just always busy. If it isn’t work, it’s right at that rush time transition between the work of the day and the activities of the night.
Who in the world actually has 6 pm free to spend time in front of the tube???

"cbs, nbc, and abc still have evening news?" People still watch TV?
Interesting.
We cut the cord a while back and amazingly we don't miss it at all.
