It is sad that only 70 Republicans are against Amnesty for Illegals.

There may be a few more than 70 against amnesty, but there were only 70 willing to risk the penalties of going against the speaker by going to him demanding that he change course - no more decent committee assignments, likely no more campaign money or other help from the RNC - under those circumstances 70 willing to take the risk is a lot.

I think 90 percent plus of the Republicans we send to DC are fake and phony.

If a majority of House Republicans stood up to Boehner they could depose him as speaker and I see the opposition of 70 to amnesty as another sign of the fix being in.

The 70 “standing up” are mostly there to cover themselves from primary opposition next year.

This is a lot of smoke blowing in the face of likely passage of the amnesty legislation.

Maybe they realize that Michelle Bachman is right. None of us have any future, as amnesty will assure one party communist rule for the next 80 years.

Stop giving money to the RNC.
Give money to the ones who vote like we tell them to vote.
One bad vote wipes out 1,000 good votes.
Take names and learn hows to research their voting record, and post their voting record here on Free Republic.

What does the RNC gain by Amnesty? I know why the Democrats want it, but why the GOPe? It’s got to be more than just cheap workers for their wealthy doners.

How will the wealthy GOPe doners benefit if America turns into a Zimbabwe?

The problem is the progressive caucus push to finally eliminate conservatives from the process. Progressivism is collapsing and only amnesty will save them.

They are under the assumption that their base isn’t large enough to win - therefore they have to try to widen their base.

They are wrong, very wrong.

Better question - why do the democrats support it?

They know that if it doesn’t pass now - there aren’t going to be enough mexicans to pull this off.

There is a lot more going on here than people realize. Just look at McCain and Graham. They’ve always been bad but these days they’ve taken on an even more desperate tone as if they’re trying to prove their loyalty to Dear Leader.

....only 70 Pubbies are willing to risk going against Speaker Boehner by demanding that he change course on "The Permament Democrat Majority Bill" (immigration reform)----the 70'll get no more decent committee assignments, and no campaign money or other help from the RNC.....

These 70 will go down in conservative annals as "Profiles In Courage."

==================================================

ACTION ALERT--The most important path ahead for conservatives. The RNC is on notice---they better not punish conservatives.

Clearly, the IRS targeting, Holder surveiling media, and NSA snooping, has put conservatives in the catbird seat---even left-wingers are appalled about these activities.

However, it is nauseating to see RINOs grab onto these issues---and run with them---posing as champions of conservative interests.

RNC RINO Rancid Priebus was allover the tube moaning and groaning about conservatives being IRS-targets b/c he knows this is an issue that could bring Repubs back to power....the same RNC that turned away conservatives and would not listen to their concerns few months back.

REFERENCE--FR POSTED---Grassroots Activists Turned Away at the RNC
United Liberty ^ | 4/16/2013 | Jason Pye / FR Posted on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 by Hilda

Just days after the Republican National Committee (RNC) rejected most proposed rules changes that would undo the power grab from last year’s convention, a number of grassroots activists stopped by the RNC to express their disappointment with party leaders and let them know that they would not give up the fight.

Shortly after 10am, around 50 activists (pictured at web site) showed up at RNC headquarters in Washington, DC to present a representative from the party with a open letter to Chairman Reince Priebus that hit at the heart of grassroots’ frustration with the party.

“As grassroots fiscally conservative activists from states across the country, we are stopping by the RNC Headquarters in Washington today to express our disappointment in the Party’s continuing marginalization of the individuals who are driving the only credible ground game to combat the progressive liberal political machine,” read the activist-signed letter to Priebus. “After reading the 100-page Growth and Opportunity Project, we had a glimmer of hope that the Republican Party was going to make a sincere effort to make the Party process more bottom-up and transparent in structure.”

They continued: “The opportunity to repeal the ‘Tampa Power Grab’ last week was your first big shot at beginning to mend the relationship between the Party and the principled, small-government grassroots activists that you’ve disenfranchised,” the letter continued. “And you blew it.”

At issue are two specific rules — Rule 16 (A) (1) and Rule 16 (A) (2) — which conservative grassroots activists consider unfair.

“Rule 16 (A) (1) was upheld on the floor, giving national leaders the power to dictate how states bind delegates,” the letter stated. “This rule puts underdog challengers to the establishment at an immediate disadvantage with fewer delegates sent to the convention. This is only made worse by 16 (A) (2), which prevents principled challengers from growing their delegate count on the convention floor.”

The activists say that Rule 16 (A) (2) was “a watered down version of a power grab.” They also note that the changes made at last week’s RNC meeting “fail to restore the authority to state delegations to enforce and create their own rules.”

“In fact, it strengthens and reinforces the RNC power grab that outraged the grassroots last summer by giving the RNC Secretary full authority to ignore the delegates’ wishes.” The letter also brought up the way the rules were adopted at the convention, which only highlights the distrust the grassroots has towards establishment.

More importantly it's time to ditch RINO conservative-haters like Priebus, the neocons, Rove, and the rest, who have continually kicked conservatives to the curb. They cannot be a part of any effort to clawback Republicans to power using the important IRS issue, and so on.

RINOS better get the message---they cannot use conservatives to get back in power UNLESS rock-hard conservatives (like Trey Gowdy and his surrogates) are placed in key positions in the party---in DC and nationwide. This must happen now....or we will proceed without them.

IF YOUR CONGRESSMAN OR WOMAN VOTES WITH BOEHNER AND THE COMMIECRATS... YOU MUST VOTE AGAINST THEM AND YOU MUST LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU WILL. THE DAY OF LOCKSTEP SUPPORT FOR A PARTY AS PUTRID AS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY MUST BE OVER. WE EITHER TAKE THEM OVER OR DESTROY THEM AND REBUILD.

It’s not an immigration bill.

It’s a democrat voter registration drive.
