The Senate voted 82-15 on Tuesday to end debate on a motion to proceed to a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
The Senate is expected to continue work on the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act throughout June. The next vote will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday that will be on the actual motion to proceed to the bill.
The four Republican members of the Gang of Eight Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R- Ariz.) were joined by more than 20 other GOP senators in voting to advance the debate. That strong support is expected to dwindle if certain amendments aren't agreed to.
"As an elected leader in my party, its my view that we at least need to try to improve a situation that as far as I can tell very few people believe is working well either for our own citizens, or for those around the world who aspire to become Americans," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said ahead of the vote Tuesday. "Ill vote to debate it and for the opportunity to amend it, but in the days ahead there will need to be major changes to this bill if its going to become law."

Think it is time for the Tea Party to become a political party.
There isn’t one now. At least one that matters.
>> Guess they believe those fake ads that play on Rush and Hannity all the time.
Hannity and Rush may have no control over the airing of those ads.
It's almost funny how inept the republican party is.
It’s no mystery:
The individuals who bribe them
er
pay for their reelection campaigns
call the shots
This version from the Senate has been declared DOA in the House. The House has its own secret gang working on it, and will follow its own path. That doesn’t mean we will agree with it. It does mean that this particular TURKEY will not pass in the House. I saw where one of the House secret gang left the negotiations a couple days ago. Rep. Raul Labrador was involved there, isn’t now. He’s a new rep who got there with help from the tea party, IIRC...

BS!
Don’t forget the 1.6 million Syrian refugees heading our way (see L A Times story yesterday)
Really? Joke is on you. No matter who you vote for, they're going to vote for amnesty. Public is screwed.

Chamber of Commerce (owns Rove)
Banks
” Dont forget the 1.6 million Syrian refugees heading our way (see L A Times story yesterday)”
Yeah, I read that.
Not BS.
Who does McConnell think he's fooling...everybody knows that the fix is in.
The Republicans who voted for this don’t care, they’ll just switch parties if the electorate becomes mostly Mexican and democratic. It’s as easy as that. They keep whatever millions is getting funneled to them to vote for this bill and if they need to in the future they’ll just become dems to hold onto power once the make up of their district changes. These are nothing but power hungry lawyers running this country.
1) Hannity went over to the amnesty side.
2) Rush owns his show. He also owns a large chunk of the advertising on his show, and that includes these ads.
Cool! I’m sure the NSA read it too!
Have a linkie?

Good job of laying out the truth.

The passage of this evil immigration bill by utterly evil scum in D.C. will truly be check mate for our Republic.
It will be the point of No Return down the road to Third World Socialism.
