Rush is probably one of a handful of radio heavyweights that has veto power over advertisers.
I hope he's not getting soft by accepting the return of the worst of the liberal prodigal-sons clients.
But then again, these advertisers may have learned that it ain't smart to fool with Maharushie....and with that understanding all around, their advertising dollars are likely being deposited into the bank account of the very canny Rush as we speak, er....type.

Local spots are very different than national. Back in the mid-90s, my Family Farm Business advertised on the local station carrying Rush, and our retail business div went up ~10%, but we sure took a lot of flack from lib-dems. The local stations had plenty of :30sec ad inventory back then; don’t know what it’s like these days.
I closed 11/1/11, due to 0scumbag’s 2009-2011 tanking economy, the EPA/DEP/DNR/DER/Dept Int/Dept Ag/ACoE, after 22yrs.
Liberals were expecting a mass exodus of Rush’s fans, it didn’t happen, isn’t going to happen, and an ad on Rush’s show is still a solid investment.
They sent my wife a bunch of half-dead flowers for our anniversary via UPS. The UPS guy threw them on the porch.
No knock at the door, no joyful reaction. My daughter discovered them out there I don’t know how many hours later. And now I get bombarded daily with SPAM from them, as well as Sherri’s Berries and all their other companies.
I still get emails from carbonite wanting me to come back. It isn’t gonna happen!
From what I hear your local station would be DEE-LIGHTED to sell you thirty seconds on Rush (or any other show).
My local affiliate for Mark Levin fills up all the commercial blocks with obnoxious PSA’s. Ain’t selling many ads apparently.
rush told the truth, advertisers caved to lies. now they want to come back.
they are dead to me since they left.
I hear ya, my business tanked dramatically the 2nd quarter of '09.
There aren't any, several of the past advertisers who jumped ship attempted to come back on but were told they were not welcome. Either last year or the year before when it happened, Rush went into detail on why he told those advertisers that they were no longer welcome.
If I'm not mistaken, several of them experienced serious financial losses after they left........ProFlowers.com, Carbonite?
I can't recall who they were any more. Will have to research it after the tropical storm approaching here moves on.

Rush is sole owner of his program and has complete control over who gets the nationwide ad time or not...........
As a side note, the advertisers who jumped ship were immediately replaced.....
He made Snapple, Carbonite, Sleep Number messed up big time.
20 million+ is a pretty powerful base to have, especially when you have their trust.
Rush, is the pioneer of talk radio today for a reason!!
BTW, always enjoy your posts here!
And you know what it makes those of us who pay her.
I had spent hundreds of dollars with Pro-Flowers before the Rush “incident” and was very pleased with their product. They could have made a lot more off of me, but for their stupid pervert caving. Have not and will not ever do business with them again.
WSBA locally in York & WHP in Harrisburg both run too many PSAs; I got a mute button on my wireless Logitech MX3200 keyboard, and a fast index finger.
Except for those he hasn’t allowed to return, such as Sleep Train.
Which is essentially what Rush said. But liberals can’t think that deeply.
Nor ProFlowers. I believe 1-800-FLOWERS.com is advertising now.
I thought it was a 3 hour commercial for products only retards would buy.
And that's Post/Pre Fluke.
He's nothing but a cheerleader for the GOP faction of the Washingtonians, a true patriot with the forum he has would be calling for revolution.
Instead he plays it safe and rakes in the cash.
Not a bad play on his part, rich is good, but he is doing nothing of substance and totally stepped back from trying to derail the nomination of that degenerate moron Mitt Romney.
Limbaugh had the power, and chose not to use it.
