Albany, N.Y. After the passage in January of tougher gun restrictions in New York, sheriffs across the state have joined a federal lawsuit challenging the legislation to reinforce the sheriffs position that portions of the (legislation) need to be changed and have a potentially negative impact on law-abiding citizens, said Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero.
The New York State Sheriffs' Association and five individual sheriffs have added their position to the record in the lawsuit filed by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association regarding the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act of 2013. The individual sheriffs listed are Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard, Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd, Putnam County Sheriff Donald Smith and Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey....

Below is the text from the NY state constitution. The Sheriff would have a trial. I stated the other night at a forum we had against the safe act that I am sure that the attendees and thousands more would be there to defend our Sheriff Tim Howard. He was with us and he is a great friend. I openly invited Cuomo to TRY and fire Howard, I want him to try I really do. We have no recourse against this thug ass. So at every opportunity I am in his face in the media challenging him.

Two articles covering the forum.
The fight against New York’s new gun control law is shifting into the political arena as gun rights supporters say they will run candidates against state legislators who voted for the law.
Speaking at a packed meeting Monday night in the Shannon Pub, gun advocate and local tea party activist Rus Thompson said the 6 million gun owners in the state are a threat to re-election of Governor Andrew Cuomo next year.
Meeting leaders say repeal of the law isn’t likely any time soon, with the Legislature slated to go home next week. That’s why Thompson said the key is political action in primary challenges.
“Like with the Erie County Legislature we need to run people against those who voted against a repeal of the Safe Act,” said Thompson.

Well, you gave me a 10,000 page document printed in 6 point mouseprint and said Here it is. Here’s what? Give us the paragraph and verse.
Until I get a more clear picture, I’ll stand by.
The Mayor ~:” Like with the Erie County Legislature we need to run people against those who voted against a repeal of the Safe Act, said Thompson. “
Agreed ! .. and I will join in the fight alongside you.
Cuomo overstepped the law , violated State constitution, and violated citizen’s rights in the US Constitution.
The need is to motivate upstate voters to get out the numbers; I think you can kiss out metro NYC ,
but Staten Island and Long Island are still in play .
But yeah , time to hold Dem feet to the fire for their backroom ,after hours ,illegal vote to violate citizen’s Federal Constitutional rights !
Cuomo wanted notariety for Presidential 2014 ~ but right now , he has p*ssed off enough people to put his own job in jeopardy.
Replace all the criminals !
