A helpless military: Just what Obama ordered (armed forces' 'feminization, emasculation')
WND ^ | June 4, 2013 | Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady

As incompetence, deception, duplicity and dishonesty become the hall marks of the Obama administration, it is important that we not lose sight of the greatest danger posed beyond these serial scandals: the feminization, emasculation and dismantling of our military. The two most important elements of national survival are the media and the military; one keeps us free and the other keeps us secure. We know the media are failing – God help us if the military does also. We may be able to fix the government in 2014. Fixing the military is more problematic.

Let’s begin with Benghazi. It is incomprehensible that any commander, let alone the commander in chief, would go AWOL during a crisis such as Benghazi, but he was. In the midst of the massacre of our ambassador and three heroic Americans, President Obama was nowhere to be found. He did manage to surface, too late for the massacre, to meet a campaign commitment the next day. But, before retiring, we are told he turned the crisis over to his underlings, including the military. What we learned about our military leadership during that crisis should alarm all Americans.

The demise of our military of course begins with the commander in chief, but he can’t do it alone. He has to have willing sycophants and he has had them in the civilian and military leadership at the Department of Defense. The indifference of the people and military inexperience in Congress are contributing factors. The military disasters are a form of gradualism. Look at the changes under Mr. Obama. We cannot focus on these changes enough.

Our military is suffering unprecedented rates of suicide and PTSD. Obama’s sequestration will cut benefits to veterans as well as damage readiness. (There has been a 2000 percent increase in backlog for veteran

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell ..... the changes are backfiring just as the military leadership that was chased into retirement warned.

“America’s fighting PERSONS” ... seems that taking the “men” out makes it seem rather feeble.

Very sad to say that our entire society has become feminized & emasculated. Real “men” are becoming more and more extinct, as we are quickly becoming a nation of ‘Fags’. One of these days, we are gonna totally pay for it too!!

This isn't an (R) or (D) issue. We're wasting $Billions every week on BS Guberment expenditures since the early days of the Bush admin and before. Since the Korean "conflict" and before I've been alive, this has been the norm. It's way, way past time to fix this and reign in our milityary industrial complex.

McLame and the rest of the Neocons want us to start a Caliphate in every country across the middle east while we neglect the massive needs of our vets across several generations.

This is unconscionable. I am beyond exasperated. Flame away Neocon FReepers!!! Bring it on...

“Our Country won’t go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won’t be any AMERICA because some foreign soldier will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!” Chesty Puller

Some foreign soldier = Elmer Fudd

Wake up Acirema, the vultures are circling the corpse of our republic. Peaceful secession should of happened in 2009, if we had had the will.

> “We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.” ― George Orwell Great quote and I've spoken to quite a few in the clandestine services that have told me some hair raising stories about what they had to go though while we slept soundly in our beds, far away and unaffected, because of their actions. We owe our soldiers and clandestine services (too many to list) a debt of gratitude. The low information voters have no clue what they have to go through so have the right to flap their jaws freely...lol

I know for certain that I owe everything to those “rough men” who place themselves in harms way for me.

It is a debt I cannot repay, I take solace in the thought that at least I know and acknowledge this fact. God bless those rough men.

One of these days, we are gonna totally pay for it too!!

It will be Old Testament in scope and nature.

The death toll in this country alone will be nine digits.

Many of the survivors will be enslaved.

I posted this as a WND comment. There were only 11 comments, so folks might actually read this one.

Great article, but I’d only add this point. It’s not a question of who ordered the Benghazi stand-down. It’s a question of cross-border authority. There is only one person on the planet who can authorize the U.S. military to cross an international border on an armed mission, and that man is the POTUS, in this case, Obama. For the OBL raid, he had no problem granting CBA. For Benghazi, all he had to do to scuttle any rescue attempt was to disappear for the night. Hillary Clinton, Leon Panetta or GEN Martin Dempsey could not grant CBA. Only the POTUS could grant CBA, and he knew it, and that’s why he disappeared for the night, insulated and shielded by his personal assistants and advisors. This while his own ambassador was known to be missing and presumed to have been kidnapped by jihadists. (BTW, an ambassador is equal in rank to a four-star general.) Obama broke the faith, and left his warriors and diplomats to die, calculating that he could blame their deaths on the bogus video. This was the likely topic of discussion during his 10PM phone conversation with Hillary Clinton. It was after that phonecon that the video was first mentioned.

The two greatest losses of life by Navy SEALs both happened on rescue missions in Afghanistan, when jam-packed Chinook helos crashed or were shot down. American specops warriors never say, “We can’t go on this rescue mission until we have all of the information.” They just go, even if they have to adapt the plan in the air. The same type of urgent rescue planning and preparation was happening the night of the Benghazi attack all across Europe, but without CBA, the rescue forces could not launch. Obama deserted his own warriors who were fighting for their lives. He hid himself, he deserted his post, in order not to be pinned down to either grant or withhold cross-border authority. CBA is the Rosetta Stone for understanding the lack of a military rescue attempt, or even a supersonic fighter jet over flight of Benghazi.

I was a Navy SEAL officer who led a navspecwar detachment to Beirut in 1983. The fact that only the POTUS can grant CBA was drilled into our heads. No president wants to stumble into a war because a specops team wanders across a border, or a jet jockey in hot pursuit flies over a line. Sooner or later reporters will understand that CBA is the key to understanding Benghazi. I’ve been writing about it since last fall, when I wrote “Benghazi’s Smoking Gun: Only President Can Grant Cross-Border Authority” for PJ Media. Now, if only a few “famous brand name” reporters would get a damn clue and learn the right questions to ask!

Didn't he also grant CBA for the purpose of deposing Mo Khadaffi?

These losers in the administration have no plan, policy, or ideas for fixing any of these problems. They were hoping that the problems would go away in some natural cycle and they could just take the credit (a la Clinton in the post-Reagan economy).

No, they do not want these problems fixed; they want them exacerbated.

Big time. And every drone attack across a border, such as in Yemen etc.

But no CBA for the Battle of Benghazi. Instead, Obama deserted his post in the situation room and hid.
