The scandals that have broadsided the Obama administration in recent weeks have the potential for leaving a gaping hole in the president's standing with the American people, according to a new Investors Business Daily/TIPP poll.
Overall, more Americans still approve (48%) than disapprove (44%) of the job President Obama is doing — a 3 percentage-point improvement over approval readings in the last two months.
But the reverse is true among those who are following the administration's handling of the Benghazi crisis, the IRS' targeting of the Tea Party and other groups, and the Justice Department's seizure and pursuit of the phone logs of the Associated Press and Fox News reporter James Rosen.
The president's approval rating tops 60% among those who are not closely following coverage of the three scandals but is only 42% among those following Benghazi, 43% among those following the IRS and 39% among those keeping an eye on AP/Rosen.
Put another way, disapproval stands at 55%, 53% and 57% among those watching the respective scandals vs. only 21%, 22% and 28% among those who aren't.
These results suggest Obama's ratings could erode dramatically if the scandals stay front and center in the news.
There's no guarantee of that, of course, given media support of this administration. But even the decidedly pro-Obama mainstream media are stepping up scandal coverage.

All TV networks would be carrying the IRS hearings live if this were a Republican president. Instead I had trouble finding it on c=span and the news was about the “batman” mass shooter going to court , nothing about the IRS hearings

Jay Leno got a racuous ovation last night when he talked about getting rid of the agency.
These results suggest Obama’s ratings could erode dramatically if (half the people who voted for him could read)the scandals stay front and center in the news.
The Obama “Administration” is like the WW I German Battleship “Ostfriesland”(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_Ostfriesland) and the GOP US House need to be like USAAF Gen “Billy” Michell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Mitchell) keep BANGING AWAY until Obama and his POS “Thuggocracy” takes on water, rolls over and DIES!
There is simply no way to legislate, or compel, or beg, low-information voters to overcome their deficiencies of comprehension of the events swirling about them, and there is no inclination to find a way to either bar their right to vote, or to expel them from the United States altogether. We are stuck with Little Leaguers who have no interest in the game, and who would almost certainly want very much to be somewhere else.
It ought to, but we have to remember that 47% of our populace pays no taxes. Why should they care about a "rich man (anyone who pays taxes)" fight with the government that supports them?
Low Information Voters = Clueless Sheeple
The rest are looking for a hand out, or are commies in disguise and supporting the dictator, and of course UNIONS. OH wait...the 47% that Romney mentioned.
saw a you g woman at the gas station the other day and she had an Obama sticker , for which around here is rare.

Low intelligence voters
There are a whole lot of voters in the other 53% voting for the democrats. Some very successful. Getting through the barriers to communicate to these people is worthwhile.
I have to ask, who ARE these people who care nothing about corruption?
Simply stunning when a party, in this case the ‘Rat party, has a relationship with it’s adherents: “Let’s make a deal - you keep voting for us and ignore anything we say or do, and we’ll make sure your govt treats you better than the other guys, you know, all the ones that don’t vote for us.”
This is why the RATS want the public to be stupid.
Certainly we’ve come a long way since I was a kid and so disappointed to find the Watergate hearings live on 4 out of our 5 channels all day long.
The Low Info voter will be concerned with who is on Dancing With The Stars, what’s happening in the NBA Playoffs, what fool thing is Lindsay Lohan or Kanye West doing now, will my SNAP card scan and do I have minutes left on my Obamaphone?
The thing that will get to the Low Info Voter IMO will be when Obamacare kicks-in in earnest. When they discover they are being denied health services they want, AND it’s not free, things are gonna get very, very ugly indeed.

Yes that is what the news media puts into their heads. News media are democrat political activists posing as reporters. The news media says Obama is trying to fix all the problems but Republicans won't work with Obama so it's Republicans fault. and most people in the country believe that media narrative. Ironic that here many of the high info voters also constantly bash and blame the GOP and Republicans not the one who is causing the problems OBama, the media etc.
democrats own the media, gov agencies, senate, presidency, unions, billionaires like Soros etc.. civilization hangs by a thread, a few R congressmen in the House. the news media is about to cut that tread .
Of course. Neither the 47% or the 53% groups are uniform in its political allegiances.
