I do NOT trust this man, since the day that he was outed for his prior-to-being-appointed anti-2A statements. He is a Communist, and should be afforded all the love deserving such.

The first amendment is a restraint on gov’t, so you already blew it.

For one thing, who leaked this information? It was supposed to be an off the record meeting. Holder should try to prosecute them.

Oh, and... he needed an off the record meeting to say he would defend the first amendment?

Mr. Fox says he’ll protect the hen house - under his watch those hens have nothing to fear!

Well, you have to understand, the First Amendment only protects hand-operated printing presses, hand-written communications, and direct voice communication.

The First Amendment doesn’t cover electronic or broadcast communications in any form, as the Founders could have NEVER dreamed of such things.

“Eric Holder pledged .......”

Is that anything like the oath he took to uphold the Constitution?

This a$$hat needs to be in prison.... nothing less will do.

“Holder Orders Media To Report That He Will Protect First Amendment. If They Refuse, He Will Order Them Indefinitely Detained By Homeland Security.”

Translated, that means: “Now that I’ve been caught, I guess I’ll start to reluctantly abide by constitutional protections of a free and unfettered ‘media.’”

And the newly free and unfettered “media” swiftly returned to its rightful place at Obama’s feet, gazing upward adoringly.

Lets see. He has an off the record meeting with media sycophants to tell
them he believes in Freedom of speech?

“protect the first amendment rights of the media at a closed door, off-the-record meeting”.

That statement is contradictory, at best-I think Holder needs to be fired for any of a dozen reasons and put on trial, but perhaps I’m being harsh...

Yesterday, Attorney General Eric Holder pledged to protect the first amendment rights of the media at a closed door, off-the-record meeting.

This is foul, almost profane. I am sure there is a proverb here.

Holder ...said officials would seek procedural and possibly legislative changes to protect journalists’ First Amendment rights."

This from the person who went judge shopping to obtain the warrant. I can't believe how dumb journalist could be to have attended this briefing.

When was the First Amendment limited to journalist? Freedom of the press is a right guaranteed to the people, not to some specific trade, profession, or special interest group.
