I saw it in one of the WWII documentaries. Can't remember which one, or if it was part of a series. Maybe it was one specifically about Stalin.

Stuck in my mind, probably because I saw it after the theater attack in Moscow, and I learned that Chechnya was a problem back then. (In fact, Chechnya gave the Czars fits too...)

I think a cheap scifi movie about a Chechen (thinly disguised Chechen?) attacking a space station too, came out around the same time as the Moscow attack, also reinforcing "Chechnya".
