Interestingly enough, this may be an RIP for the boy scouts.
I local sheriff where I live is cancelling their charter in our area due to this decision being a violation of state laws regarding sodomy.
Next step for the BSA will be to allow gay scout leaders. I wonder how many parents will take their kids out of scouting.

Why would you send your son out camping with other boys that are overtly sexual and homosexual? Obviously Gays got their way, and obviously it will destroy the Boy Scouts.
But the Homosexuals are ok with that. They never liked the principles of Scouting anyway. They just hated being held accountible for their actions.
It is a small example of society in general. Every society that tolerated Homosexuality openly, destructs and the dust of that civilization blows in the wind.
This is true of America too. But the Homosexuals are ok with that. They never liked the principles of America either. What ever price you pay is worth it, as long as they get their way.
The BSA will soon be floating belly up.
I expect to get as far with this suggestion as I do with my suggestion to pull your kids out of public indoctrination centers but I’ll say it anyway. It’s time to pull your boys out of Boy Scouts.

How about one of these stories include the details of the vote. Is it a secret or something? Like is 1400 BSA delegates all of them that could vote in the US, or some of them or what? Or what was the exact vote total? One story said ‘60%+’ but I didn’t see anything more about it. You would think you would have seen something from somebody that voted against it if nothing else.

If one organization can get the various churches behind it. They could surplant the BSA in a short amount of time.
From now on they should be referred to as the Gay Scouts.
Sad day for what was a classic American institution.
With 3 Eagles and 1 Life Scout sons and 1 Eagle grandson along with working to assist their Scoutmasters over the years, I am amazed at the shortsighted decision made on this issue.

The homosexuals will now have their own homosexual boys’ organization, without having to finance it. The shameful sell-out by the BSA brass shows that they are not trustworthy enough to be in charge of the training of young men.
Homosexuals are like the cowbird, that throws another bird’s eggs out of the nest and lays its own eggs in the vandalized nest. The original owner of the nest then returns and hatches the next generation of marauding cowbirds.
Unless those who espouse traditional Christian values stand up now and organize their own group, the future is bleak.
“Come out from among them.”-St. Paul. Sadly, the parents of normal healthy boys must forbid the youths to join Scouting.
Talked to a parent of a Boy Scout this weekend. He did not touch this topic and indicated that his son would continue with Scouts. I wonder if a lot of people on the local level will just assume that this will not affect their little troop, which is filled with people they already know.
Given that the Boy Scouts of America is a private organization, will those who voted in favor of gay scouts hold or even admit any liability should the incidence of sexual abuse increase as a result of their action?
There are a couple of things that could occur.
One would be that the Boy Scout troops some how recall or kick out all of the national board and nullify this vote that was taken. How they can accomplish that I don’t know.
Or...
There will be a mass exodus of troops and individual members from the Gay Scouts resulting something similar to the the organization in Canada. Scout masters will be allowed to be openly homosexual. There may even be a merger with the Gay Scouts and the Girl Scouts.
In the mean time one or more alternative, God-based, conservative scouting organizations will be created. Hopefully those that exited the Gay Scouts will create a single competing organization to them.
Then will come the massive lawsuits from all the pederasty committed by the homosexuals similar to what we saw with the Catholic Church scandal. This will result in a collapse of the organization and its assets sold.
Personally I could not care less about the sexual preferences and proclivities of grown adults. But these are kids. To sexualize an organization for kids is inexcusable. Now every man stepping up to be a Boy Scout leader is going to be under suspicion. Is he really in this to help out the kids or is he a closet pedophile looking for his next victims?
Nothing good can come of this for the BSA.
