No, no need at all for Adam to shave. He had a proper manly beard like traditional Jews and Christians have always worn — well at least those of us in the East — look at pictures of the Tsars (short beard for laymen) and Orthodox bishops, priests or monks (long beard for those in major orders or living the “angelic life”).
