'This is the moment two terrorists who butchered soldier Lee Rigby also tried to kill a hero woman cop who was first on the scene of the carnage.
Shocking footage obtained by the Daily Mirror shows how the calculating pair lured officers to the scene by dragging the body into the middle of the road and brazenly waiting for armed police to arrive.
When the first police car arrived the pair split up in a pre-planned manoeuvre with knife-wielding Michael Adebolajo charging them head-on, while his accomplice ran up alongside, aiming his revolver at them.
The film of the 10 seconds of terror show how Adebolajo got within TWO FEET of the terrified female cop who was driving the armed response vehicle.
She was armed with just a Taser as she sat in the drivers seat of the BMW X5 and was only saved when a male colleague sitting in the back made a split-second decision to fire his machine-gun from point blank range through the window.
As he is sent sprawling to the ground by the force of the two shots and the two cops jump out to cover him they appear to fail to spot the other suspect aiming his hand gun at them.
Luckily a third SO19 marksman running round from the far side of the specialist Trojan unit spots him and he is brought to the ground as a further volley of six shots ring out in the suburban street in Woolwich, south east London.'

You know what the overly-emotive Daily Mirror language meant.
The prose was nonsense.
Whoopee, that woman is no commando, I don’t know why you want to claim that she is something she isn’t, she is a cop and she had a taser and a pistol and didn’t have her pistol out when she ran into trouble, but the guy in the back seat saved her.
It happens in police work, you don’t need to make it something more than it is.
Sounds like a semi-auto to me. I can't see the weapon, but it doesn't sound like a 5.56. Maybe 9mm. Not a big enough bang for a 7.62

I’m glad that the female city cop was so “elite” that she can carry a taser and a pistol like any American cop or most housewives here, it must impress you very much, too bad she was almost taken out by the guy before being saved.
I guess "highly trained" is all relative.
Any American here is free to go and spend some time with CO19, and see how they match up, if they feel free to sneer at them.
Rolling up on a murder scene and she pulls her Taser. Her training leaves quite a bit to be desired.
Lots of experts on British police here tonight, I see.
“woman cop hero”? Hah?
What exactly made her a a hero?
OK, let’s try to play nicely here. I bet these officers followed policy to the letter. Argue the policy all you want, but I don’t think the officers are at fault.
I’m guessing the policy is to take people alive if possible. Maybe scotsman can find out.
The Islamists’ idea of using the knife guy as a decoy worked pretty well. The bad guy with the gun blew it (luckily), he should have been emptying that gun much earlier in the festivities.
The only real mistake I see is letting the guy with the pistol go that long without being fired upon. But I don’t know what was in the firing background, etc. Even video like this doesn’t give you all you need to know about a situation.
The outcome was the best possible, so let’s remember that. No one else injured, suspects captured alive. Something useful might be learned from these guys.
Sure it would have been satisfying to kill them on the spot, but not as potentially useful.
You good enough to qualify as a member of an elite police unit?. No, so dont sneer.
‘The woman officer driving may have had her Tazer on her lap as she would not risk putting a live firearm on her lap wile she was driving.’

Is that a true statement?
There are always lots of experts on here. I know this because I am an expert on experts. :)
Sarcasm, old bean.
