Washington Times ^

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead.

Mr. Boehner and his top GOP lieutenants issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senaate bill, which emerged from a Senate committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote earlier this week, and to stake out a House GOP position

The hell with phone lines.

Burning them is a waste of time. They will onl;y listen when we go to the Capitol and become enraged enough to go into action.

” Yes, DHS has but not the Homeland Security House Committee.”

Any idea who is on this committee?

Oh yeah that’s right D1!

It burns me every time I see a republican tout immigration “reform” by saying that the illegal alien insurgent criminal invaders in our country at this time will be given this and that blah blah but will have to get in line behind the ones trying to get citizenship legally.

Such BS, they are in line back in their OWN countries.

If the ones here are going to go to the back of the line, they need to go back where they came from and wait.

Just like the ones doing it the correct way.

So why not do the Reid thing and not even bring it to a vote?

Can’t bonehead do that just like Reid does?

If we could....

abolish ALL welfare programs

abolish ALL minimum wage laws

privatize ALL entitlement programs

repeal of ALL of Obamacare

Abolish the IRS

Repeal the 16th Amendement.

Strictly follow the 10th Amendment (and the rest of the Constitution)

Make English the official language.

Do not grant automatic citizenship to children born here from illegal aliens.

Most importantly....secure our borders....

Do ALL of those things....then yes I too MIGHT consider an an immigration reform bill.

Here is the entire content of the bill I want passed on immigration:

“A contiguous barrier shall be constructed from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico and continuously patrolled and policed. 1 fiscal year following the completion of the structure and full force policing of the southern boarder, analysis of its affect and drafting of legislation to engage illegal immigrants residing in the United States will begin for consideration of passage and implementation.”

Sign this bill and enforce the laws that we have until we stop the simple illegal immigration. Otherwise we get to re-visit this issue in another 10 years while scratching our heads wondering how we got here again.

You and I both know it, but most don’t - the borders have never ever been closed.

When what you have is over a thousand miles of double-strand barbed wire fence - if any fence at all - you cannot close a border.
