General Motors Co. is recalling more than 27,000 Cadillac SUVs worldwide because the wheels can fall off.
The company says the recall affects the 2013 Cadillac SRX with 18-inch wheels. Canadian safety regulators say the wheel nuts may not have been tightened enough at the factory.
GM says the problem hasn't caused any crashes or injuries, and no wheels have fallen from vehicles.
Dealers will rotate tires and tighten the nuts at no cost to the owners.
The recall affects almost 19,000 SUVs in the U.S. and another 913 in Canada. The rest were exported to other countries.

Now THAT sounds like Government Motors!
The majority of crashes are caused by the loose nut behind the wheel.
Wouldn’t the drivers notice wheels so wobbly that they “could fall off”? With all the electronics on-board, there’d be a *warning notice* on the dash panel, somewhere. They now tell you if a tire’s 1-2lbs low on air.
Jeez, get the lug wrench out and tighten ‘em, folks.
..sorta like whats happening at the White Hut
Thanks to Obama the wheels are falling off Obama motors just as they are falling off the US.
..with Omamamotors there no warning and nobody no's nuttin, but you only get that warning after three wheels fall off
The wheels came off GM long ago.
it is likely that the wheels on some ladies car did become wobbly. The dealer learned that the nuts were not properly torqued at the factory.
The lawyers are salivating at the thought of the problem. The solution is to check the torque of all lug nuts.
I saw two of these vehicles yesterday and feel certain that neither of the women drivers would be able to find the lug wrench much less use it
Wow, a car that drives just like our government.
They hide the tools pretty well in the vehicle, either under seats, in snap-out panels or whatever. And if you don’t put them back-in perfectly after using them, they rattle and drive you nuts forever, like nuts & bolts in a coffee can.
As long as the 3 rolling wheels/tires can find their way back home, you’re okay.
Wheels falling off?
Interesting, I wonder if they can recall the Obama presidency for the same reason?
Where owners will tighten them themselves?
I used to drive a 6 wheel 2 axle 12 ton truck for a dairy and in which they evidently had put parts (I was told) from an 18 wheeler. Rather than the usual 4/1/2 turns from lock to lock it took over 8 turns. I would regularly drive it on the highway twice a week on 60 mile round trips, constantly dealing with under steering and oversteering.
Potentially much worse however, after one of the trips i took it down back to pick up stock and one of the from wheels fell off from the axle (bearings, and that degree of maintenance was not my job). Thank God it did not happen on the highway.
You really want to use a torque wrench with modern aluminum wheels. These aren’t the steelies of your youth.
The wheels on the Caddy go round and round...
If someone is getting paid $20 an hour to put on the lug nuts and didn’t do it right, can they be fired if their union?
Take Me Home, Mountain Road
I’ve seen some bad times,
Have been through some hard times,
But this time the hurtin’ won’t heal.
You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheels.
