During an appearance on Dr. James Dobson's 'Family Talk' radio show today, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said that "God is going to answer our prayers and we'll be freed from the yoke of Obamacare" (audio below), reports RightWingWatch.org.
Rep. Bachmann could not prove that God opposes Obamacare, which will help provide health insurance to millions of Americans, will no longer allow health insurance companies to discriminate against pre-existing conditions, will allow children to stay on their parents' health insurance until they are 26 and provides preventive health care with no co-pay.
Dr. Dobson parroted a false right wing claim that the IRS would somehow deny health care to conservatives, for which he presented no proof.
Neither Rep. Bachmann nor Dr. Dobson made mention of the fact that there are over 30 million Americans without access to health care or that medical care costs are the leading cause of bankruptcy for Americans, per Bloomberg Businessweek.
Instead, Rep. Bachmann insisted her bill to repeal Obamacare, the 37th passage of the repeal in the House, would be used by God to repeal Obamacare in the Senate and by President Obama himself.
"That's why you saw the House of Representatives pass my bill, the full repeal of Obamacare last week, and that's why I have renewed confidence that we can see this bill pass in the Senate and I think the President will ultimately be forced to repudiate his own signature piece of legislation because the American people will demand it," said. Rep. Bachmann.
"And I think before his second term is over, we're going to see a miracle before our eyes, I believe God is going to answer our prayers and we'll be freed from the yoke of Obamacare. I believe that's going to happen and we saw step one last week with the repeal of Obamacare in the House. We have two more steps. We serve a mighty God and I believe it can happen."

Or what.
I’m still praying for divine intervention for God to remove O.
so...now the onus is on Dr. Dobson to provide proof of discrimination in a program that has not been fully implemented yet?
“Rep. Bachmann could not prove that God opposes Obamacare”
And this A-hole cannot prove the opposite.
I think God would oppose death panels.
God opposes all evil.
Maybe he should get a life.
>Or what
I think Bachmann needs to keep her distance from people like those that dressed in purple and drank poison to catch their spaceship to paradise. Making proclamations with end dates that never arrive can lead to a poor reputation.
In other words health INSURANCE companies will no longer be allowed to act as insurance companies. Just wait till you get a chronic condition and then sign up. Next we'll be able to sign up for life insurance for our spouse after he/she dies and we're assured a prompt payout.
All this may sound well and good except the money is not there. The bureaucracy is there and the layers of bureaucrats will be growing and growing while those who actually practice medicine will not grow.
Dobson/Bachman are correct, just as they were in their warnings about The Kenyan plans to steal your private health-insurance.
So you are equating the Heaven’s Gate cult to Dr. James Dobson and Christians?
I think one is allowed to say that on Dr. Dobson’s Program.
You know...that pesky thing about God answering prayer.
If she said it in the Halls of Congress, it might be different, but Dr. Dobson has a very specific audience...People who believe in God.
Apparently, this author is one such person.

As you know there are a lot of FReepers like the author. The comment right below yours is typical of a lot of them.
Campaign rhetoric is the new reality for way too many Americans.
Can’t depend on God for that to happen. He didn’t remove Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and other abberants.
Those fools who put Obama in office, starting from his Illinois senator days, and later in the WH all have a free will. So do those who did not vote for him.
God doesn’t mess with our free will — He has too much respect for it. If we want change, we had better initiate it ourselves.
BUMP
While we’re asking for removals, taking Vice President Bite Me and Pelosi - and heck, throw Reid in there too since we’re asking - along too would really be gratefully appreciated.
