The fallout from the Internal Revenue Service targeting scandal is going to be felt in many other federal agencies and programs, including Obamacare and immigration reform, Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker says.
"This episode is going to have a big effect There are multiple, multiple issues that have to be addressed,'' Corker told "The Steve Malzberg Show'' on Newsmax TV.
"This is a wakeup call for all of those who see our large government and the way people can be coerced
For instance, as we move to immigration reform, just being aware
of judgments that take place within organizations.''

Corker
what exactly is his version of “immigration reform”?
___________________________________________
For years Corker has pushed hard for full blown AMNESTY for all of the illegal aliens ...
In the past he has maligned anyone calling his office to ask him to vote against...
How dare we...etc
“now, as we move toward immigration reform,”
Hes a golfing buddy of Obama...He thinks AMNESTY is in the golf bag...no sand traps ahead...
FORE !!!
“First time in quite a while I recall something worth quoting out of the mouth of Sen. Corker.”
The problem is with most of the RINOs (like Corker), they have finally awakened to the stark reality that this $h!t is going to stick to them as well as to the RATs.
This phalanx of scandals is a game changer for all of them, as well it should be. Personally, guys like Corker should be primaried, but the GOPe will try very hard to discourage this activity because it will mess up the order in the club, which is always more important than doing anything positive for the country as a whole.

Wish I was as optimistic as you seem to be. Remember that the next congressional is still a year and a half away. The GOP will need a lot of persistence to keep these scandals, and the issues that arise from them, alive until then. They haven't shown much of it collectively in recent years, unfortunately.
“Wish I was as optimistic as you seem to be. “
I am not optimistic. I was just pointing out the mechanism that provoked Corker (or at least a possible mechanism). The Tea Party needs to run effective primary challengers against all of these rotten bastards in the GOP. At the minimum, it will force them to campaign, and in so doing let us know more about them (which might just result in their loosing their elections).
I was afraid that was where he's at. Quite foolish for a Republican to push for full blown amnesty for illegals, unless he wants to be voted out of office by swarms of them.
Unless we abolish taxation (to dream the impossible dream), there will always be an IRS. Or something like it. Somebody has to collect the taxes and somebody has to check to see if I’m a tax cheat. But it should be a much smaller organization with smaller powers and a LOT more transparency. And the tax code should be vastly simplified (3 pages, maximum).
The IRS has a 40 year history of abuse. It can never, ever be trusted with more, or even the same power,
Actually, the abuse of the IRS by the ruling administration for political purposes goes back to the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration in the 1930s, where a few of Roosevelt's rich and well-known Republican political adversaries were prosecuted on dubious tax charges. That would have been about 75 to 80 years ago.
At the same time, Roosevelt himself pretty much paid whatever amount of income tax he wished, according to a copy of a letter I have seen written by him and addressed to his appointed IRS commissioner.
From now on, any time any liberal or moderate advocates any form of government expansion in the name of sentimentalism, we answer, "Oh, more government power - just like the IRS."

the deaf ear to his state finally wakes up? I know he is a tad better than Lamar, but even he is tone deaf. Our primaries are set up in such a way that when 2 conservatives run against a moderate, the moderate will always win, thus corker and halsam. Neither conservative would back down, not even the one with the worst polling numbers. Who should have stepped down and thrown his/her weight to the leader, and we would have had conservatives in these positions. I only hope lamar retires this year, other wise another 6 years of the doddering old 70+ year old fool moderate to willing to cross the isle, like corker, money and power before the people and Constitution. Both have made themselves extremely wealthy up there.
he like lamar will turn coat on illegal invaders, I refuse to call them immigrants, I know what a true immigrant is, I am the daughter of one. It isn’t the free loaders taking our jobs and all our medical assistance and food stamps and sending their under the table money back home to mexico.
The opportunistic pols all seem to be trying to outdo themselves in expressing outrage over this......to assuage the voters back home.
He needs to be told “you know what you can do w/ Obama’s immigration reform administered by the IRS.”
