BELCHERTOWN (CBS) Shortly after midnight Tuesday, seven people were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.
State Police say the five men and two women are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and cited their education and career interests for being in the area. The men told police they were chemical engineers and recent college graduates.

The Quabbin, in Belchertown, is one of the countrys largest man-made public water supplies. Bostons drinking water comes from the Quabbin and the Wachusett Reservoirs.
State Police say there were no warrants or advisories on any of the individuals and there...........

Chemical engineering is essential in the oil industry. That said, these folks, at the very least, wanted to worry us and cost us time and money. We live in a world of profound hatred and we are the prime target of Islam.
I think it’s just a matter of time till these camel jockeys pull off something really big.

Actually there is an easier place that wouldn’t take as much effort to cause a lot of damage, but I will not mention it here, or anywhere else for that matter. But you are right it would take hundreds of tons to do anything to the water supply.

thirty years ago I stopped my car by a Boston resavior and walked out towards it with my scketch pad, ignoring all the no trespassing signs.
Within 10 minutes there was a helicoptor hovering over me and two water district policemen encouraging me to leave.
I imagine it is much more policed these days.
this PM I spoke with a cop at my nearby reservoir, he said that the biggest threat was probably from biologicals, versus chemicals or radioactives... he also expressed some frustration with higher ups who were reluctant to train to respond to such threats at the most vulnerable point, the filtration fields, they were concerned with how it would look to the public who recreate nearby...
