The IRS Raids 60 Million Personal Medical Records
Forbes ^ | May 15, 2013 | Scott Gottlieb

Posted on 05/15/2013 11:36:27 AM PDT by LucianOfSamasota

The Internal Revenue Service is facing a class action lawsuit alleging that more than 60 million personal medical records were improperly accessed, and stolen, by agents from the embattled agency. It’s just one more reason, as I wrote yesterday, to re-think the agency’s role under Obamacare.

Inevitably, Obamacare confers the IRS with broad access to information about our health insurance, as well as direct electronic linkages into a new government super computer that will also store a lot of bottom line information about our individual healthcare choices.

It’s a recipe for mischief by an agency that’s proving that it can’t be fully trusted.

This isn’t a fictional, Orwellian vision. It’s a reality of how Obamacare was structured. And how much the law depends on enforcement meted out by the IRS.

The Obama Administration probably didn’t set out to design the system this way. But a myriad of concessions made to accommodate the law’s vast scope and intrusive provisions has placed many of its applications in the lap of the IRS.

Good luck with that lifesaving procedure for yourself or your kids if you are or ever have been a conservative.

Amazing how the IRS has become a sort of Gestapo agency.

There is a federal law protecting the privacy of medical records, HIPAA. There are also laws protecting the privacy of tax information. It is increasing clear that the IRS has become a rogue, lawless agency. And now it’s gonna control our health care.

Imagine this was May 2012, a few months before the Nov. 2012 elections instead of May 2013, and those scandals came
came out, do you think that Obama would still have won re-election?

Sad to say, but I believe that Obama would have won re-election anyway, because the man is so clever that he can blame others for the scandals, and his followers would have
believed him and still voted for him. Sad. Sad. Sad.

The irs is more than 1/2 non-White. It is a great big welfare agency - it pays people to occasionally come in to the office as long as they fulfill a quota.
It is a great big redistribution agency. The irs dishes out money through a legal fiction called the earned income tax credit.

I would point out that it is the media that has enabled him, totally and completely.

60 million? Why that’s not even 20% of the citizen’s records. No big deal...

It doesn’t matter, right Hillary?

LOL

There is a willfully ignorant population, but we also need an effective opposition. The entire 2012 campaign year was a bizarro world on our side. Seemingly no organization and no clear message. The party purposely left the conservative base out of the the convention and adopted the weak-kneed messaging of Obama can’t manage the economy but we can. All it took was the left and media counter saying no, we would be better..and it nullified the attacks. The more charismatic candidate will win a he said, he said, especially with the media on their side.

They put no meat behind the campaign and refused to be aggressive to go after Obama in fear of him and the media. They needed to go hard after each and every failure, mock them for predicting ‘recovery summer’ and low unemployment under their plan. Our side went with the soft, consultancy BS, and lost.

Yes, we can blame the population for voting for more of this, but we have to also blame the ‘smart people in the room’ in the RNC for bullying the base out of the campaign. They need to be accountable for a complete flop of an election season.

They're just getting a head-start on their ObamaCare role where all medical records must be turned over to them with your tax returns. Then they by filtering your information they will determine you medical care. They're just planning ahead to alleviate problems.

And yet, we can't look at Obama's medical records.

We can't look at his Occidental and Columbia application forms, when Obama could allow us to look at his applications tomorrow by just giving his approval today.

1. Oh, but Occidental and Columbia are restricted by tight privacy laws.

2. Yes, but if Obama gives his approval today, Occidental in California and Columbia could release at least Obama's application form tomorrow.

3. Fact: There is no record of Obama working at any job from the first day he enrolled in Occidental in California until the day he graduated from Columbia 4 years later.

4. Am to believe that Obama supported himself all that time---about 4 years----just from student loans? I don't think so.

5. In those four years, he traveled to Pakistan and maybe Indonesia to see his mother. Those plane trips are not cheap. So, who paid for the trip: His grandmother, his mother, his Pakistani friends, or his student loans? Enquiring minds want to know.

6. Again, how about some AP brave reporter demanding that Obama explain how he paid for his trip to Pakistan when he he had no job from the time he enrolled in Occidental as a freshman until he graduated from Columbia four years later?

7. He leaves Occidental in California to attend Columbia in New York: How did he get there? Did he fly? Did he take the bus? Did he hitch a ride? Who paid for the trip? College loans? Relatives helped him? Obama, tell us how you did it.

What better time to eliminate the irs? Time to eliminate the income tax and institute a sales tax? Probably a better chance of pulling this off than inpeaching the kenyan.

Maxine Waters - Obama Has Put In Place Secret Database With Everything On Everyone

“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday. “That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”
