If this happened to a black family it would be national news. A white couple and his wife were knocked unconscious for buying gas in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time.

Good suggestion; it describes behavior rather than appearance. The race obsessed left will still interpret it to mean appearance, revealing their racist thought process.
That’s why a lot of whites don’t even try to offer friendship. Same thing can happen if you try to make friends with the pit bull growing at your throat.
It has happened to me in the grocery store. Got looked at like I was a bug.
