Amid the controversy over Uncle Sam singling out politically conservative groups, Matt Drudge took to Twitter on Monday morning to offer his take. Linking the IRS scandal to President Obama‘s health care law, the Drudge Report creator foreshadowed civil war, an “American Holocaust,” and a “brave new president.”
Recently, Sarah Palin, too, drew a connection between health care and the IRS, noting that the “same corrupt” agency “will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare.” Drudge weighed in thusly — including some interesting hypotheticals:

What I don’t get is why would the DOJ go after a news agency that possibly received the leak instead of going after the government employees who leaked the information to the news agency/agencies? Are they just trying to blame someone outside the gov’t?
Agreed. I'll build on it and suggest that the one that's going to be the big wake-up call for the media is the DOJ tapping the AP's phones. That's the first time Dear Leader has sh*t directly in the fawning press's soup, and they aren't going to like that dish at all.
As much as I like Drudge, he is wrong. Hackers will not know anything about Clinton, Hillary, Obama or Biden. Their information will be falsified, kept separately from everyone else or outright destroyed.
The only information actually available will be for George Bush, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh etc..
My guess is that the DOJ just figured they could cast a wicked big net and catch those govvies in it. And they probably figured the AP would just roll over and play dead because amongst a fawning press corpse, the AP is the lead Obama whore.

Learned a little more today: the AP wiretaps involved “Al-Qaeda and Yemen”. So the question keeps coming up, “ Why didn’t the WH just ask AP for info?” What if the Yemen thing somehow was related to gun running in Libya and WH didn’t want to tip off AP . . . Just in case they might actually report???

of course we don’t, and this administration never lies. i think the DOJ needed to insert this caveat in order to protect themselves from one of the points in the articles of impeachment for Richard Nixon; whereby, using a gov’t agency to tap phones is exculpatory when it involves national security interests.
unless the yokels toss out the rats in the Senate....and hold the house....and that means NO VOTING FOR THIRD PARTY....then there is no chance of anything happening...rats defend each other to the death, theirs or ours...
