The astonishing story of the decade-long captivity of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight has enthralled the country. The incredible tragedy, like all good narratives, has even had a touch of comedy. The neighbor who was credited with helping Amanda Berry escape, Charles Ramsey, became a media darling after a series of colorful interviews. In one, he famously said, "I knew something was wrong when a pretty little white girl ran into a black man's arms." But now there's doubt about Ramsey's true role in this story, and whether or not he's the hero everyone has made him out to be.
Charles Ramsey has made it clear from the beginning that another neighbor, Angel Cordero, was the one who alerted him to Amanda Berry's desperate struggle to free herself of the house where Ariel Castro had been allegedly holding her and two other women for a decade. As Ramsey has told it, he was
He then said in interviews that while Cordero got to the house first, he left before Amanda could get out of the house. Cordero is now disputing that account, saying that it was he who kicked down the door to free Amanda. He told an ABC affiliate:

When that rare ‘15 minutes of fame ‘ shows up some people grab at it with both hands . The entire footage of the people in the neighborhood is what gets me . I felt like I was watching a Barnum and Bailey freak show . Lowlife-ville to da max . It is no wonder that a fellow like Ramsey would get involved , and if figures that a scum like Castro would reside there . He fit right in .....
The open doors to immigration , like with Britain , it has done so much to help the overall fabric of our nation ( not)

With as crazy (and funny) as Charles sounded in the aftermath, I tend to believe he came across as authentic.
These people did nothing but repeat what Charles said and call him a liar.
Is it possible, there’s a reward out there, and they just found out about it? HMMMM?

Ramsey’s interview was some of the oddest television I’ve ever seen.
It’s clear that he uses a lot of illegal drugs, and had possibly done so shortly before going on Gerta’s show, ‘cuz trying to follow his line of reasoning was futile and bizarre.

Admittedly it was uncomfortable even listening to him.
His story changes every time he tells it.....he’s clearly ON something.

who cares about this crap? This story is just the media trying to distract from the Obama’s IRS cracking down on conservatives, scandal,Benghazi, the country destroying Amnesty immigration bill
Actually, I read about the Spanish-speaking guy a week ago. He wasn’t able to communicate with the police and media because he didn’t speak English, so Ramsey took the credit.
From my experience being bi-lingual, I’ve seen that sort of thing happen before - often.

That neighborhood is a stark reminder of today’s American inner big city neighborhood vs. what I saw in the early 50’s .
Ted Kennedy sure screwed us with his Immigration Reform Act of 64 or so.
In that interview, the man needed an interpreter to answer the questions from Griff. So if the heeded an interpreter, how did he have any idea what Amanda Berry was telling him?
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "bombing" or a large pile of explosives disarmed within the next few days accompanied by a nationwide manhunt.

I’m still not buying it. I judge credibility of witnesses for a living as an attorney, and this woman looked extremely dishonest to me.
We’ll find out soon enough, because Amanda knows the truth.
