The top-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee said President Barack Obama could possibly be impeached over what happened in Benghazi.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said in a radio interview Thursday that “of all the great cover-ups in history” — including the Pentagon papers, Iran-Contra and Watergate — Benghazi “is going to go down as most serious, most egregious cover-up in American history.”
“We may be starting to use the I-word before too long,” Inhofe said on the Las Vegas-based “Rusty Humphries Show.”
“The I-word meaning impeachment?” Humphries asked.
“Yeah,” Inhofe confirmed.
When Humphries questioned the likelihood of impeachment, Inhofe said it wouldn’t be immediate.....

I agree the Republicans haven't got the stomach for it, heart for it, passion for it, courage for it etc.
The impeachment will need to come from the democrats themselves. And after the display of outright chutzpah I saw the other day for 7 hours, it is going to take a major break in the investigation to make that happen. And even then...I'm not sure we have ANY democrats left in that party who toe the line for the American people and not the presidential regime!
They keep hinting around at who can order a 'stand down,' as if we are all supposed to know. But until someone says, "The President." And we find that order documented, which will just be buried in 'classified' documents never to be see the light of day or allowed to deliver the truth...there will be no impeachment.
I've maintained from the beginning that the Ambassador was to never make it out alive of Benghazi. I've maintained this "attack" was an 0bama/Hillary planned trap. There is too much we do know that points in that direction, the question is why would our President have the Ambassador killed.
Revealing who gave the 'stand down order,' isn't the ultimate answer. We ALL now know assets were available and in fact gearing up with chopper blades running to get there. The 'stand down order' was given because we'd get there too late anyway? Do any of realize how ridiculous that sounds? Even if we would get there too late, we'd get boots on the ground to secure the area...and that did not happen for how many days as we waited for the FBI to get in there? All the time we knew, they knew ...it was a terrorist attack?
This who scenario is so freakin' implausible as too be a cover-up....not of even a terrorist attack, but of an 0bama ordered assassination of a high ranking American citizen. What did the Ambassador know? Who was the Turk he met with minutes before the attack? The truth has to be so devastating as to takedown not only 0bama in an impeachment proceeding, but to take down the democrat party leaders and may be even some high ranking Republicans with it of their fancy secret committees.
And the mushheads on the street still dont know who this guy Ben Ghazi is......nuff sed

I don’t think that a “coverup” (presuming that no crimes were committed in furtherance of it) will result in an impeachment.
It is what is being covered up that is dangerous for Obama, not that he asked his peons to lie about it.

Look, we are going to have to sort all this out, in the usual way that prevails when politics fails. The apocalyptic rhetoric is way out of place.
If your beautiful granddaughters had lived in the ruins of Berlin in 1945, they would now be watching THEIR grandchildren growing up in a wealthy, peaceful, highly developed society. Ditto if they had lived in the ashes of Tokyo.

Then add Benghazi on top of that.
Both are impeachable offenses and Treasonous. They should hang from the gallows for what they did in F&F and what they did not do in Benghazi.
You know what? I am SICK AND TIRED of this defeatist attitude. MANY of us having been praying for an end to this evil crap for so long.I'm with you! Our daily rosary group (at church) has grown from sometimes only 3-5 to 14 just last week (doesn't sound like much but it is), and our daily Mass (6:15 a.m.) crowd has grown from 12-15 to 32-35 since the beginning of Lent, which is a BIG jump (we've never seen numbers like this at this particular parish in the last 25 years).
EVERYTHING is possible with the Lord. If enough of us keep praying and BEGGING for forgiveness, it will come...
Hopefully both Benghazi and eligibility. And Fast and Furious. And the Boston bombing. And the deaths of SEAL Team 6.

No,I do not want Obama to remain in office for what he has done. Impeachment is probably a stretch. So, if he is to remain in office, then he does need to twist in the wind and be made radioactive and ineffective. Maybe this would end all this immigration reform bipartisanship, the anti gun agenda and so on. No Republican should want to send any bill to him they knew he might sign.
Well, given his mental state, we could certainly count on an eye-catching White House makeover...
People would tune in to his Presidential addresses, if only to see the babes.

Watergate burglary happened in June 1972. It took two years for the watergate hearings in summer of 1974.
That was some summer. I remember the hearings were on network radio most of the time (it was a Repub being impeached after all!). I was driving trucks for a summer job and heard every word. So much to do about nothing!
Here, our Government wouldn't give proper security (should have brought them home), abandoned a diplomat (and others) during a battle and lied for weeks about it.
Nixon did the right thing and resigned as he couldn't govern anymore; we'll be lucky if this scandle lasts another 3 weeks.
Obama would never resign. He doesn't have an ounce of integrity. (When is the last time you heard the word “integrity” even mentioned in connection with this administration - never.)

It’s one thing to get articles of impeachment, it’s another thing to get a CONVICTION.
You won’t get an impeachment conviction without a criminal conviction. That is where the previous attempt failed. They didn’t get a criminal conviction for perjury, before proceeding to impeachment. That allowed the ‘RATS to deflect into the abyss.
I’m not sure what my preference is: Deportation or Jail. I’m leaning toward jail (and a perp walk). But I’d happily settle for deportation.

I get so tired of the posts by those who see the constitutional remedy of impeachment and trial as ineffective because we have seen its politically tainted incomplete results before.
We know this process. Since we know it rarely could be made to convict, we should relish all the more the exposure process it includes and how a criminal administration can be completely consumed by it.

Well so far the information has proven collusion between the Wh and State to cover up the actual Al-Qaeda affiliation with Beghazi and replace it with a Lie about a video... That is Conspiracy and intentionally lying to the American people, next we have the sheer incompetence of not being prepared for terror on the anniversary of the biggest terror attack in this nations history, then we have a President who says he ordered every possible thing he could to help those in Benghazi during the attack proven now to systematically remove every military option off the table probably with the same methods used to alter the CIA talking points about responsibility and all this during a presidential election.... hmmmm Yes High crimes have been committed, the only thing left is getting all these people under oath testifying and who knows what else may be uncovered...
