What is happening to our country? Toy gun bans and confiscation? BB gun bans and confiscation?

This is the state of liberal minds. They have forcibly confiscated property and denied a man of his liberty through inprisonment.

That's unacceptable.

“I don’t tend to take things lying down, so I went past the parents, and so I walked straight over and I confronted him,” said Leni Calas. “I mean, he’s brandishing a firearm and I don’t care if that firearm is plastic. That’s unacceptable.”

In the coming months, years when Islam has gained an even greater foothold here, and when acts of violence that result in massive violence and death, we of the survivors will call women like these "victims" who died because of placing the placebo of Democrat 'feelgoodism' above common sense.

Unfortunately this is nothing new, it just gets more news time.

In the 1990's we drove down from New Hampshire to visit relatives in New Jersey. My uncle, who was in his 60's at the time and had never had so much as a traffic ticket in his life just happened to mention how he had been waiting over a year to get a permit approved so he could buy the 50th anniversary Daisy Red Ryder BB gun, a toy that he had played with as a child. So I told him that I would buy him one when I got back up to NH.

Our local store was sold out of Red Ryders but they said there was one available in their Methuen, MA store just over the border. We drove to Methuen and picked out the bb gun. When we went to pay we were told we had to apply for a permit to buy and wait for it to be approved by the police. I walked out in disgust.

As it turned out my sister, who also lived in NJ, was in Maine on business. I called her. She bought the BB gun at Kittery Trading Post, took it back and gave it to my uncle. He displayed it on the wall over his fireplace like it was a trophy.

All that trouble over a child's toy and you wonder why we left New Jersey.

The gun is variously reported as a toy, a pellet gun or a pellet gun. It really makes a difference.

Criminals are arresting citizens for no good reason.
Nothing to see here.
Move along.

Arizona is a gun-friendly state. VERY gun-friendly. But if you shoot a BB gun in a public park in Arizona you will be arrested.

It isn’t going to stop until the ‘good guys’ start suing and/or bringing charges against the nanny-staters for these kinds of ridiculous acts/arrests.

Are we to assume from that incident that it is illegal to discharge a cap gun? In my day cap guns rang out and their smoke billowed often on my street.

And people from New York claim that they are so sophisticated.

Just the garden variety urban hillbillies.

I’m up for forming a posse to break him out of jail.

Nothing less is going to free this illegally arrested man.

Before I even read this I knew it was New York city, just by seeing the words “arrest” and “toy gun” and woweee whut a surprise it is. I moved out of NYC last year, it’s a despotic state now. People think I’m kidding, I’m not. Everything revolves around the “Dear leader” Despot Mike Bloomberg. It’s *just* like North Korea there, the only difference is there is food (what they *let* you eat) and they let you leave, but before you can leave you have to pay a lot of money which to me is no different from a North Korean bribing the state and guards. All you New Yorkers, am I right or what? The city dictates every aspect of the individuals life. What you can own, eat, how much money you have, if you own a business, how you spend your free time. This is EXACTLY why we need a 2nd amendment. Tyranny can’t happen in the USA? Ha ha ha think again.

Many are now conditioned with this reaction and mindset. The only way to reverse it is literally going to require a Civil War, IMO.

It’s pretty common in liberal cities that ban guns to also ban “look-alike” guns, basically any toy gun that doesn’t have the bright orange marker on the barrel. It sounds like that is what they got this guy on.

I have five boys under seven and they have about a thousand plastic guns. If some busy body Leftist twit gave me a hard time, she would get more than an ear full.

We are living through the fall of Rome. This is the pussy-fication of America. Any boy that acts like a boy is humiliated, yelled at and forced to take psychotropic drugs to make them act more like a girl. It is a direct result of the Leftist Feminist movement.

How long till the modern day Vandals & Barbarian hordes, they are the low life Muslim hoards now, force their way through the gates of the city and scatter Western Civilization to the four corners of the globe for a millennium?

Look closely and you will see a toy plastic hand grenade that fired caps. A popular toy in the 60's. Pull the pin, toss it, and the spring loaded spoon flipped and released the striker mechanism. Loud satisfying BANG!

This Diane arbus photo was taken in NYC's nanny filled Central Park in 1970

At that time the murder toll was about 1200 and upwards per year. Bombs were being set off almost weekly by the radical left. Yet that cap-firing grenade and cap pistols caused no panic.

If the boy in the photo appeared in the same spot in Central Park, NYC would go in lockdown. Raise the bridges, close the airports, apartment by apartment searches. If it just saves one child. If only one crazed woman's hyper-sensitive feelings are protected from feeling threatened it's all worth it.
