At this point, even before the rest of the news media has been shamed into covering any of these Benghazi revelations, I’d say there is nothing better than the Obama Administration would welcome. It gives them the opportunity to slough off any questions and/or formal reponses to Congress, citing ‘ongoing investigations’ by a special prosecutor.
Wrong time, way way too early. If Boehner is doing this, it is because of a deal with Obama IMO.

Wait -- are they speculating on what task the special prosecutor will be charged with performing, or are they speculating that his "announcement" will be that there will be a special prosecutor?
IOW, could his announcement be something else entirely, in keeping with his lack of anything useful.
