Every few months since at least 2006, The New York Times takes time out from brow-beating Evangelicals to praise them for supporting amnesty for illegal aliens.
Most of the "Evangelicals" the Times cites are liberal frauds, far from "unlikely allies" in amnesty, as alleged. It is a specialty of the left to pose as something they're not in order to create the impression of a zeitgeist. The only one I haven't seen quoted yet is the ACLU's minister, Barry Lynn.
The Times keeps touting Evangelicals for Amnesty as evidence of a "shift," a "change of heart" and a "secret weapon." Breaking the same news story every two months since 2006 isn't a shift; it's propaganda.
Any Evangelical promoting the McCain-Rubio amnesty plan has the moral framework of Planned Parenthood. Like the abortion lobby, they have boundless compassion for the people they can see, but none for those they can't see.

Oh look, it’s that NYC liberal lady.
What a column coming from Bill Maher’s ‘Christian’ sperm bank!

No real Christian church supports Illegal Alien Amnesty. The Illegal Aliens, first most, have broken the law. And, many times, its American church goers who are harmed by it
What...next these “Christian” churches will support child molesters over the children they molest?
Christ said nothing of Government provided benefits or the forceful taking of one man’s earning to support someone else who had not earned it.
The whole concept goes against the very nature of the Gospel, an individuals walk with God.
Christianity is not Marxism, or Socialism, or anything involving Force.
Christianity is about Free-Will.
Neither can forced charity be considered charity.
They have made up hundreds or more organizations to push their causes. "Jews for Palestine", "Billionaires for Bush", "Taxpayers for Tax Hikes", "Hunters Against Guns" or whatever.
“Christ said nothing of Government provided benefits or the forceful taking of one mans earning to support someone else who had not earned it”
But God did. God said, Thou shalt not steal. I believe that is the whole commandment. But maybe it is, Thou shalt not steal except with the consent of the majority? Or except under the auspices of the majority?
How does she know this? Did anyone ask Mr. Crenshaw his opinion on barring Europeans "desperate" to escape Europe?
Ann Coulter has, apparently, compassion on educated Europeans. Does she have any on poor Mexicans? Because you'd think they have it worse.
The problem with the compassion game is that everyone can play it, and the government simply cannot be "compassionate" to everyone. I want lawmakers to have a sense of compassion - on all people, and not just their chosen groups - but I think we'd be better off if they concentrated more on justice and common sense.
Also, people can support immigration - besides of affluent Europeans - without wanting America to be the "welfare ward of the world". Immigrants on welfare are a problem. But getting rid of the immigrants is only one solution. Another is to get rid of the welfare.
Ann Coulter is forgiven as she is one of few vocal about too much immigration both illegal and legal. I agree with her suggestion of an immigration moratorium for 2-5 years or until we have absolutely secure borders and an immigration policy like ISRAEL’S.
How long have you been eating PIE IN THE SKY?
