They are just Sequestering employee hours.
If you double the number of workers but keep the total hours worked exactly the same, does that not equate to a larger workforce and less unemployment - at least statistically speaking?
Is that not a major factor in what is happening to our unemployment stats right now?
On the bright side, we’ll all be free to, as Pelosi said, dedicate our jobless lives to pursuing the fine arts.
Obama is well on his way to creating the society he wants. A small group of workers paying crushing taxes to support government welfare for a large population of unemployed or semi-employed people who either don’t want to or can’t find full time work with benefits. The more you mandate that employers provide all kinds of benefits to workers, the more you create a dual class society with zero mobility between the classes.
What is so funny is watching the liberals twist into knots about the application and following of the laws!
Usually, liberals are all about following the LETTER of the law, even getting thugs, rapists and criminals off by playing stupid word-games with judges, lawyers and juries!
Now, they are all SCREAMING and gnashing their teeth because businesses aren’t following the INTENT of the law (which was to force companies to provide things which they CANNOT afford to provide)!
Proof that Liberalism is a mental disease! You can’t have a FUNCTIONING BRAIN CAVITY and actually want the laws applied/followed one way for one set of people and then want them applied/followed another way for a different set of people!

Well, enjoy. Use that extra time to have some garage sales because you will have to sell your home to move into quarters fitting of an O-care recipient.
The obamites don’t care. For purposes of reporting in the news, someone who works 29 hours is full time.
It is not just retailers who are slashing hours to avoid Obamacare.
Colleges and universities are doing the same thing.
Yesterday it was reported that HEADSTART is slashing hours to avoid buying healthcare for its employees.
Folks will have more time now to sit at their 3-D printers and print guns.
There’ll be a lot of 58 hour/ 2 job people, too, the people trying to get ahead when only 29 hour/week jobs are available. And OT will be history. Likely, many of them will have voted for The One.
In the end I don’t think this will work, for one of two reasons.
1)In order to cut everyone’s hours in half you have to double the size of your staff. Not likely to happen in a society overrun with lazy, shiftless pool of candidates out there. Certainly not while having to compete with Obama benes and welfare.

2)Fearing the political damage if this continues, Obama will instruct that “the secretary shall” inflict some brutal punishment on a couple of high-profile employers to make examples of them and scare off the rest.
And the unemployment rate drops.

Yep, pretty soon we’ll have so many part time jobs we’ll have full employement!
I have a friend who cannot understand why his basically UNEMPLOYABLE 36 year old son cannot find a job with more than about 24 hours.
His current ‘job’ is in a restaurant, and he has been fired from a continuing chain of menial positions.
Daddy keeps bailing him out.
When Daddy is gone, this ‘kid’ will have a big shock.
