You can just imagine the liberal flaming poor Joe is taking. Pretty hard to argue against much of what he says though...

Someone coined the phrase “Bastard Boom” the other day.

I used to listen to Joe after Rush’s show on KSTP.
Seems like a long time ago...

Huge issue that nobody wants to talk about.

It’s all in the name of “sexual freedom” the holy grail of the American people, the real “opiate of the masses” to paraphrase Marx or was it Lenin?

If we were able to see a pie chart of government spending I’m willing to be this item would be a very small slice of that chart. Government employee payroll and benefits, etc. would be a much larger piece. IMHO

Most of society’s problems, from the bloated welfare state to urban crime to “anchor baby” illegal immigration, began once the government took it upon itself to reward people for having children that they can’t afford and can’t care for themselves. Once the poor started seeing children as sources of state income, what we have today became inevitable.

And those that do marry are having ever fewer kids.

Not many higher sainted words than: “I’m a single mom...”

It confers victim status with a twist of anti-male coloring and a hint of feministic “freedom/power”.

He also got a lot of support by many readers. Joe didn’t go far enough. He could have pointed out the disproportionate amount of crime children of single mothers commit. Then he would have really gotten slammed for pointing out the obvious. But his critics think he’s slamming all single mothers. He’s simply saying the obvious: on average single mothers create a huge financial and societal drag.

Where are the fathers/sperm donors? Find them and make them pay restitution for their indiscretions.

Males screwing women and then running away is a huge part of it. Men are few and far between these days.

Why are we paying never-married women to have babies? Why are we taxing intact families to subsidize bastardy?

Why isn’t it “single dads are making us broke?”

I’m all for calling out unmarried people who procreate and force me to support their children. But the onus is on both parents, not just the moms.

Lack of a moral center and a belief in God are real culprits here. Single moms, irresponsible fathers are just the canaries in the coal mine. Right now its all about pleasure, do it if it feels good mentality.
