Eminent domain is when some government entity takes your property and puts it to public use. Adverse possession is what happens when a status quo use goes unchallenged for a long period of time.

Knowing the RATs, probably Cross-dressing Day.

Nope, since Kelo vs. New London, the government can take your property and give it to another person, it's all for the greater good, you see.

Thanks CB.

First, I do think there’s a strategy behind what’s going on but won’t bore with it.

It’s just, dag, why on earth would the Sussex dept of land or whatever just, badaboom, send me a letter, a FORM letter, willy-nilly telling me to move my fence? Shouldn’t they check into that sort of thing?

Seems to me this guy showed up with a survey, boom, everyone involved is supposed to move their fence. I got two neighbors or more involved with this. We are ALL upset, of course.

BUT....

...here’s my secret....I talked to BOTH of them on either side of me. Seems to me that one guy once owned the plat of land that includes my neighbor to right and left. MY plat of land was somehow sub-divided from this bigger piece of land.

Both of my neighbors hemmed and hawed when I asked if they had a survey like I had, a signed and certified thing. I don’t know why, but neither of them HAVE a survey of their lot. I have my suspicions, of course.

Anyway....I shall write on Delawarepolitics.net all about it...my council woman reads that column and she’s in touch with me. You must smile, but I was the campaign finance Treasurer for her recent opponent’s campaign.

Heh.

Already I put in a blurb....”let us see how Council Woman Joan Deaver assists me in this”.

Something very strange about this and I think I am caught up in it, always the innocent I am.

God does this weird stuff to me so I will write about it.

Am watching Chris Matthews....bunch of liberals....Chrissie seems upset over that 15 year old morning after pill.

Which is just an awful judicial decision. We need to get these powerful unelected judges outta there.

THIS might be the issues that unites liberals and conservatives cause we all have children.

One can hope, huh?

The fact that the DCM in Tripoli is testifying is very significant. We need to get General Ham to testify.

I know Marco is damaged goods here, Hot Air and elsewhere. But, I still can't help but think that if he hadn't joined the goofy gang of eight and hung around McQueeg so much he wouldn't have backtracked so bad and all but destroyed himself among conservatives. We sometimes forget he's a first year Senator,a lot to learn.

Marco Rubio is either a fool or he thinks we are stupid. I believe the latter rather than the former is the case. Either way, it raises serious questions about his judgment, his conservative credentials, and any future political ambitions he may harbor.

Morning Pat,

Just made myself a sausage/egg breakfast sammich...apricot jam. (flipped in my ceramic skillet of course) Sometimes I can flip an "over-easy" sometimes I can't.

Sorry to hear about your dispute.

We need to get these powerful unelected judges outta there.

Which is exactly why we have impeachment.

It happens over and over - they drink the Potomac water (or something). Rubio is a good man, and if he were the one that was going to be in charge of enforcement I would probably agree to the bill - if modified. BUT we all know that Administration has NO - none, zip, nada - intentions of enforcing anything written in that bill EXCEPT FOR THE INSTANT LEGALIZATION. In many state a drivers license is the key to voting. We had that fight down here in AZ when Zero allowed the illegal dreamers to stay without fear of deportation. What is the first thing they demanded? DRIVERS LICESNES. Our Gov Jan Brewer issued and EO stating in accordance with State Law NO DRIVERS LICESNES FOR FOLK WHO ARE ILLEGALLY IN THE COUNTRY. Oh you should hear the screaming, gnashing of teeth and promises of law suite. As I understand the law Hussein has NOT made the illegals be legal or documented - only put a hold on deportation. Brewer is CORRECT, of course.

If this "comprehensive RAT making legislation" passes both chambers - and I believe it will - it is the end of America absolutely. The nation will look like southern CA in a decade or less. We will become a bilingual nation and nothing in the law will be enforced unless it advantages ILLEGALS. The rest of us are screwed. Isn't Congress supposed to be working for CITIZENS interests - why are they spending so much time to advantage the folk that broke into OUR country through the back door and are now demanding "PAPERS"? Can anyone answer that - including you Rubio?

Barkley has been involved in a number of on and off the court fights usually involving someone a lot smaller than him. He has been arrested for tossing a guy through a plate glass window. He is a compulsive gambler and womanizer. He has long been known to step out on his wife whenever the mood strikes him.

He is also in many ways a racist.

The aim is to make it a national holiday.

...probably as a replacement for Memorial Day, which only celebrates rich, white, racistbigothomophobe warmongers anyway.

(Should really put a /sarc here, but with the crap that's come out over the past three or four months, it may just happen, and the storyline wouldn't differ from what I just posted by much at all. Maybe I should just start using /patience instead.)

Great idea. Sure would be nice to expose some of the intimidation going on the regime.IT has to be really tough for some however. The Chicago thugs play a no holds barred game. They will intimidate or threaten to kill anyone. Nothing matters to them. They are above the law and they know it.

I really hate agreeing with you on this one but when I have conservative Cuban Americans truly pissed off at his backtracking it becomes really hard to defend his actions.
His only hope will be the House not passing amnesty and then hope that conservatives forget what he did. Both long shots.

Because they are overworked and underpaid, or, because it's easier to send you a form letter than argue with the complainant.

If your property was subdivided from a larger piece of land, the original owner may have been required to file a subdivision plat. Check your deed to see if you own, say, Lot 2, XYZ subdivision, or if it is lengthy metes and bounds description. Your neighbors my not have a survey, but that doesn't mean one was never done.

And how about your title insurance company? Can they provide you with any support or guide you where to find such help?

I don't get the strategy. If the thinking was to appease Hispanics in hopes of the House killing the bill, even that makes little sense.I just don't get it.

HEY RL!!

I bought one of those skillets at WalMart!

I love it!

Don’t yet be flipping food around but it’s just the greatest thing, really perfect for me, now a single person wanting a meal for herself without a lot of fuss.

Folks, sorry to be late with this but just now watching Fox News Sunday.

It was Chavitz, I think, and some Dem from Mass. Y’all mighta seen it earlier.

Man, how much money or promise did they have to do to the Mass Dem to go on TV and defend Benghazi?

The lamest, the funniest....my winner for the MOST ABSURD TALKING POINT OF THE WEEK....are you ready?

Asked if it wasn’t true that increased security was requested over and over again by the Libyan ambassador, and was always turned down.....Dem from Mass says:

“Every time increased funds for security at our embassies was requested, THE REPUBLICANS ALWAYS VOTED IT DOWN”!!!

That is so damn lame....but hey, the lo-fo voters, they buy into this stuff. Not that a lo-fo voter would be watching Fox News Sunday but you only gotta reach a few.

“Don’t pay any attention to that stuff about Ben-Gazi Meghan. I heard from my hairdresser that it was the REPUBLICANS who turned down funds for more security. Now they’re trying to pin it on Obama and once again, more racism, all the time from these people.”

For now, all I can say is like you, I suspect something not quite right here.

One thing, these surveyors were lollygagging all around my property line, get this, on the day of my husband’s funeral. My son-in-law, who meant well, was out there yelling at them, telling them to go away....

Son in law, not too bright, but he was passing to me all the things those guys were saying and one thing soninlaw told me was something about “the county made a mistake”.

My neighbor on one side is taking this very serious, she was boo-hooing that it would cost her $1,500 to move her fence and she had pets buried there.

Why is she so worried? I asked her if she had a survey? She said....”I did at one time” which, I must shrug. I would never lose such a thing but I guess you never know. She did say it was over 24 years ago.

Neighbor on other side says this is all about some other guy down the street whose fence was like ten feet over the line.

Heh.

Well truth is....I planned on tearing down my back fence anyway so it don’t much matter to me if in the end it turns out they get four more feet from my backyard. It’s plenty big and less for me to mow.

I suspect, but bear in mind I don’t know much about this, that those two neighbors on either side of me were too supposed to get a survey done as their lot boundaries changed. I suspect that builder got a survey and snuck it in because I don’t think they got a survey. There’s a history with the guy who owned my house before and he was a stickler and bit of a pain. He for sure had a lawful survey done and I think those people behind me want to lessen the easement of forest they are obligated to provide.

Again, folks, I dunno. But I got me a column read by everybody in Delaware, I am a recent widow....I shall use the Democrat method of making it all about emotion.

Pics of me chained to my fence, waving my certified and signed survey around....WHICH HAS AN ACTUAL PICTURE OF MY FENCE ON IT!!!

Heh.

God does this stuff to me, serious. Cause though I write fiction, even I couldn’t make it up.

PS...don’t forget pic of loyal dog who will run off once the constable tears down my fence. She will be sad too.
