White House maintains sequester (Hussein's idea) hurting economy no matter what jobs reports say

Two months after the sequester slashed spending across the federal government, the latest jobs report shows the economy is still adding jobs and unemployment is going down.

When asked aboard Air Force One Friday if that indicates the economy can withstand the cuts or if it is too soon to tell, White House press secretary Jay Carney maintained the cuts are harming the economy, despite the jobs numbers.

"You know, what we know as a general principle going forward, is that every time we get data, no matter what it says, we will know that it would have been better if it weren’t for sequester," he told reporters on Air Force One Friday.

Carney lashed out at House Speaker John Boehner's contention that President Obama's policies are hampering economic growth. Boehner said Friday that Obamacare should be repealed and the Keystone pipeline approved.

this article is based on false premise.
there are less “new jobs” than there are “Americans dropped out of the labor market”.... that is not a step forward, that is another step backward

I’d like to know why the hell our house is still closed and the GOP is not doing anything about it.

I’m sick of this crap, they close the house we pay for and they think it;s their house while we get locked out and our side has nothing to say about it

Thats easy/ We proved in November that we vote for them regardless of what they do. So they can keep their heads down, help the Democrats on Gay marriage, Abortion Immigration, whatever they feel like, knowing that people will vote for them.

Very simple.

Now Obama is in a quandry.

He needs to show some job growth to prevent his presidency from total self destruction.

But he will have to sabotage job growth to prove his point that the Sequestration is hurting job growth.

Liars and cheaters never prosper in the long run.

Media Helping Obama Reinflate Housing Bubble

Posted 05/03/2013 06:53 PM ET

Subprime Scandal: In an eerie bit of deja vu, the major media are suddenly gushing warm-and-fuzzy anecdotes of at-risk families who’ve found new “hope” in easy home-lending programs.

This is how it gets started positive spins about homeownership by pro-government newspapers only to turn later into disaster stories when the artificially created housing boom goes bust.

We know how this “affordable housing” fairy tale ends: Weak homebuyers walk away from their properties; and lenders get stuck with the bad debt, taxpayers with bailouts, and investors with massive losses.

How soon we forget the economic devastation from Washington’s last grand social experiment, known as the National Homeownership Strategy. According to the Federal Reserve, the ensuing financial crisis from 2007-09 wiped out $14 trillion in U.S. household net worth — the greatest destruction of wealth in history.

Job Report Brings No Cheer To Main Street

Posted 05/03/2013 06:53 PM ET

Jobs: Wall Street is cheering while Main Street stays mired in a listless recovery. Maybe this makes sense to Barack Obama and the Fed, but try explaining it to the unemployed.

Friday was another one of those alternate-universe days on Wall Street. The Bureau of Labor Statistics came out with April job numbers that are only so-so, but the stock market greeted the news with another big rally.

Both the Dow 30 and the S&P 500 set records, with the Dow hitting 15,000 intraday for the first time.

All this over a BLS report showing payrolls rising 166,000 in April, barely enough to absorb the natural increase in the labor force. True, unemployment edged down from 7.6% to 7.5%, and the March and February job totals were revised upward (by 114,000 for the two months combined). But none of this resembles the robust growth normally seen at this point in a recovery.

The share of working-age Americans with jobs — 58.6% — has barely budged since the bottom of the recession, and we’re still some 2 million jobs short of pre-recession levels. This is unique in post-World War II history. At this point in every other recovery, the job losses had long since been erased. On average, payrolls were 7.6 million above the pre-recession peak.

This is a serious problem at the grass roots, among job seekers and businesses that need a fully employed, well-paid middle class to fuel demand for their products and services. Main Street, in short.

agreed but if you don’t mind I’d add to that.
We have too many dopey idiots on our side who vote, we have the low info voter who see the letter R, hears the name and then just votes for the party and their guy.

It’s the same for the left too, except they have a lot more low info voters than our side .

That’s why the homosexual , the cross dressing, the socialist , the communist agenda has been pushed onto the military and this country, in the school, in the churches etc

I’d like to know why the white house is closed and not a damn thing is being done to open it .
Is there construction Chewbacca has ordered, has the self professed royal family said they want it closed because they’re too good to be having us in that house, do they think it’s their house now?

“It’s the same for the left too, except they have a lot more low info voters than our side “

I used to think that. I don’t any more. Not when our ‘high’ info voters look at a guy like Romney, take his record as a whole, pretend he had a midnight conversion and go out of their way to promote and campaign for him.

You don’t get more ‘low information’ than wholesale discounting of information. That’s even worse than just not paying attention. That’s sabotaging the conservative movement outright. And to this very day they pretend he was ‘more conservative than Obama” when his record shows he was the same guy. Abortion laws? Check. Gun laws? Check. Illegal aliens? He employed them. Check.

I’m tired of it all. I consider myself a Reganist now and Conservatism, whats left of it can do what it likes.

same here, some one asked me the other day if I was a republican and I said no a conservative.

I’m sick of how the stupid party and it is stupid keep putting on their talking heads , how talk radio for the most part gives them a platform and then ignores social issues which is the lefts golden goose.

How could anyone had thought Romney was right wing is beyond me but it seems the stupid party wants nothing of the south except votes when they need votes.
They think of the north east as America and it is not, to them we’re just dumb thick southern hicks and rednecks, just like what the elft thinks of us.
