Agent: I was ordered to let U.S. guns into Mexico [March 3, 2011]
CBS News ^ | May 3, 2013 | Sharyl Attkisson

An Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms senior agent assigned to the Phoenix office in 2010, Dodson's job is to stop gun trafficking across the border. Instead, he says he was ordered to sit by and watch it happen.

Dodson's bosses say that never happened. Now, he's risking his job to go public.

Agent Dodson and other sources say the gun walking strategy was approved all the way up to the Justice Department. The idea was to see where the guns ended up, build a big case and take down a cartel. And it was all kept secret from Mexico.

ATF named the case "Fast and Furious."

Surveillance video obtained by CBS News shows suspected drug cartel suppliers carrying boxes of weapons to their cars at a Phoenix gun shop. The long boxes shown in the video being loaded in were AK-47-type assault rifles.

So it turns out ATF not only allowed it - they videotaped it.

Exactly which cartel did they take down?

Dated, but still a great reminder of who it was that caused (according to Obama) all the Mexican gun violence.

It feels like a sting that morphed into corruption - just old fashioned selling guns to Mexican Drug Cartels... I’d like to know where the money went...

Government bought guns with taxpayer dollars.

Sold to Mexican Drug dealers

Where’s the cash?

At the time, my memory is that Holder was encouraging the Mexican government to file suit against the big name gun manufacturers. Law firms were salivating for their piece of the multi-billion-dollar settlements that would result.

The beauty of it was classic Obama and classic Soros. They would get the result they desired but the visible fingerprints would not be theirs.

It blew up when Brian Terry was killed.

If Ojango was concerned about guns heading to Mexico he would stop selling them to the Cartels and enforce border control.

Unfortunately Mexico knew damn well what was going on because it fit their goals as well.

Just so. The whole thing first appeared on stage when the President of Mexico visited the White House, and had a photo op with Obama in which they both declared that American gun dealers were responsible for providing the cartels with weapons.

Then Hillary picked up the ball, and spent the next week or two telling the networks that the violence in Mexico was all caused by American gun dealers.

Then Holder ordered the ATF to instruct gun dealers to sell to Mexican criminals and let the weapons walk to Mexico.

Then, before they could go through with the whole plan, things broke down.

But the damned idiot in the White House still thinks he can lie his way back in the intended direction. And he has the whole press on his side.

Let's hope he's wrong. It's encouraging to see CBS go with the story, although it may turn out to be just a small, one-time thing.

This is the story of the century. But we've had plenty of those from Obama, and the press would rather go out of business than pick up any of these stories and really go to town with them, like they did with Watergate.

There it is. Obama/Holder are the masterminds.

I’m sure the mainstream media will get around to covering this story, eventually, but of course they have more urgent stories that take precedence. They don’t want us to miss the details of Lindsey Lohan checking into the Betty Ford Clinic.

Yes, but at least the idiot in the White House is being consistent with his stance on the video-motivated death of the late lamented Mr. Ben Ghazi.

Seriously, so what. Nothing is going to happen to this elite criminal enterprise, nor the next group or the group after that. They are all entrenched, compromised, etc & as long as the sheeple have a TV, six-pack & the trains run on time the beat will go on. Further the presidential nominees in this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" will not be selected by you or me. The criminal enterprise will select it.

No cash needed... it was just another welfare program.

They won’t arrest people who clearly violate our laws and waltz across the border with bags of drugs on their backs. Yet, we are supposed to believe that they will violate Mexican sovereignty and stream across the border to start arresting drug dealers and gang bangers at will .

OkBomb, Abridged:

The Berlin Wall came down and the USA was concerned about nuke materials getting loose. Meanwhile Germany was concerned about groups able to publish huge volumes of materials illegal under Germany law but legal in the USA. This set the stage for US/Germany intel collection synergy, and Germany provided an agent, Andreas Strassmeir; Andy would act like a right-wing German nut and infiltrate US extremist groups. In this he was aided by the resources of the SPLC, which had a long history of monitoring hate groups in a program called, “PatCon” for short.

Andy was helped by a US agent, Tim McVeigh, who like Andy had been in the army. They said he tried to become and SF and failed, but only the first part was true; in fact Tim tried out and instead received a much more sensitive assignment —infiltrate US “hate groups”.

But the field is not cut and dry, like training manuals in the Army. The field has people, who are willful and wayward. They suddenly do unforeseen things, like move up a blast timetable, which is what happened:

The US guv had collected lots of data, but a building was in rubble and they suddenly had a tarbaby on it’s hands —as things stood it could be shown they had known of an impending attack but did nothing.

SOUND FAMLIAR..? Let’s read that again: it could be shown they had known of an impending attack but did nothing.

But then they thought some more —Tim’s cover was intact, and he was still in place. They realized they could simply claim Tim was not their agent at all, but was a real extremist; they could make him the sole culprit, and escape a tidal wave of blame that had no land somewhere.

So that’s what they did —they just said it was allllll the bad Tim McVeigh, acting alone, yup.

Sorta like an LA YouTube maker, who is in jail to this day.

“This happened long ago!”

“What difference does it make?”

“Only a few people were killed!”

“Not as bad as Newtown!”

“Not as bad as Boston!”

“Another reason American should not be allowed to have guns!”

As a public service, just offering some quotes for the media and “progressives” to use to defend those who ordered this crime.
