PC Amok: A congressman asks why emails describe supporters of traditional marriage as members of hate groups while the Pentagon vets a religious tolerance guide with a group that compares Christian evangelism to "rape."
When Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel recently appeared before Congress, he was grilled by Rep. Randy Forbes, R-Va., about an email sent by an officer at Fort Campbell, Ky., to three dozen subordinates, warning them to be on the lookout for soldiers connected with "domestic hate groups."
Among the groups listed in the 14-page email by Lt. Col. Frank Rich, the Second Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment Commander at Fort Campbell, were Christian organizations such as the American Family Association and Family Research Council (FRC), immigration reform groups such as the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), and Atlas Shrugs, run by Pamela Geller and monitoring global jihadist activity.
Officers are advised to look for uniformed members of these groups, described as anti-gay, anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim.
The email listed the groups alongside actual extremist and hate groups such as neo-Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan and other supremacist gangs.
The list of "hate" groups in the email appears to be based on one compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Ironically, it was used by one Floyd Corkins, who, on Aug. 15, 2012, tried to go on a mass-shooting spree at FRC headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Geller, of Atlas Shrugs, told Fox News that the Army's email was a smear and intellectually dishonest. Her group, she says, is anti-jihad and anti-Shariah.
"I don't promote hate," she said. "I expose hate speech. The purpose of Atlas Shrugs is to report under-reported stories on daily acts of jihad across the world."

This is an SPLC thing —the same outfit that inspired the gun attack on the Family Research Council, averted at the front door by an alert security guard. The same SPLC that crafted the whole PatCon program leading to the OkBomb tragedy, with the whole building destroyed.

Why did the FRC not sue the bigoted hate group called the SPLC?
The SPLC is a group based on hate for all things southern conservative, traditional , family etc
They should have been closed down long ago

I served for half my life (as of this year) in the military and always thought of retired folks as “ambassadors” to aid in recruiting good people to serve.
I absolutely will NOT recommend anyone to join today’s Armed Forces and serve the whims of that Kenyan communist asshole in the White House. Maybe this is what the little punkass wanted in the first place, to deplete the military of people of conscience, replacing them with godless trogs who will swear loyalty to him and only him.

This country has absolutely lost it.
Purge the military of Christians or members leave of their own volition and you have left those who would follow orders to fire on their fellow citizens with less qualms or hesitation.
I have recommended that not one of my sons join the military, although I told them I’d support them if they did. Our nation at this time, its leadership, is not trustworthy enough.
Never is anything perfectly trustworthy, but it has gotten ridiculous.
And I don’t want my new sons building mosques, being handicapped by insane rules of engagement, showering with homos, or serving with women in battle situations.
Perhaps this is the end goal, anyway, to keep good young men out so the military goes to pot.
My respect to the good men still involved.
We’ll have that, regardless of whether they leave the military or stand down and refuse to fire on Americans. Obama has his core group of stormtroopers already.
