If you can’t answer why it is okay for a 13, 14, or 15 year old boy having sex with an adult teacher is okay vs a 13, 14, or 15 year old girl having sex with an adult male is wrong... you are on the wrong website. This site is for CONSERVATIVES and that also means for those of us who are trying our best to raise our children as God loving/fearing people. Again.... our society has permitted the sexualization of children. The ages become younger and younger. Once female teachers started using their position and authority to have sex with male students... without punishment or scorn... how long did you think it was going to take for male teachers to focus on male students? For female teachers to focus on female students? Stop looking at one scenario and look at the big picture. This is not about homosexuality. This is about the corruption of children. Have a nice day.

As you know, most laypeople use the term pedophilia to describe sex between an adult and any minor, whether that minor is 9 or 16. They aren’t using it in the clinical sense of “under 11” or “pre-pubescent.”
I prefer to be accurate, and use the appropriate terminology. I’m not concerned with whether “lay persons” are using the proper term.
You’re wrong. Language is inherently democratic, and you’re outvoted. In non-clinical settings such as this forum, “pedophilia” is CORRECTLY used to mean sexual contact with ANY minor. You can have your little medical-dictionary-citing fits, but no one cares.

Actually, I’m correct. The terminology that is used when prosecuting individuals for pedophilia versus sexual contact with a pubescent child is the deciding factor. A person who is 20 years old who has sexual contact with a 13 year old is NOT prosecuted as a pedophile. What term used by a low information individual is not relative.
