I’m seeking consistency. In my opinion, a poster who approves a female teacher/male student relationship should also approve a male teacher/male student relationship, because the male student has made a decision about what gets him what he wants.
Where am I wrong?
I’m not seeing anything about physical force or coercion with weapons. He agreed to it, no matter what the teacher weighed.

For one thing, please don’t scold us. We have our own opinions, thank you very much. Secondly, I would like to ask you this: if your 16 year old son walks in and says, “Dad, I just had sex with Ms. Jones, in the back of her car.. do you high five him? Now, if your 16 year old daughter walks in and says, “Dad, I just had sex with Mr. Jones, in the back of his car.. do you high five her? Or, do you talk about sex outside of marriage, STD’s, pregnancy, and a host of other issues? Tax Chick and I are Moms... thus, we try to the best of our abilities to prepare our children for the world. An adult.. whether it be a male, female, teacher, doctor, or minister that wants to have sex with a teen is using his or her position for self gratification at the expense of the teen. As a society, once we okayed young people getting it on with anyone they wanted, here or there... homosexual liasons between adults and kids was bound to happen.

I’m still not understanding this. If ejaculation is ejaculation, what difference do the details make? Don’t care who it is, don’t care if it’s vagina, mouth, or rectum ... he got off, that’s all. Unless he was forced by overwhelming strength or held at gunpoint, why are we even having this conversation?
At least, that what’s I’ve learned from 10 years+ at Free Republic. I used to think better of men, but when I thought that men I knew in real life were different from what I read here, I was told in no uncertain terms that I was wrong.
You were never a teenage boy. You cannot relate.
It’s true, I have never been a teenage boy.
As to, “You can’t relate,” I have no choice. I have two teenage sons, and four more who will be teenagers eventually. And all their friends, as well as my daughters’ friends, to whom I must relate as a responsible adult.
Up to this point, I’ve found that relating based on moral absolutes has worked. Maybe they don’t always agree, but they know what our standards are, and they know that they’ll be paying the real-world price for their choices.

And, it depends upon what the definition of “is” is.
It's important to be clear here. The perp in this case is NOT a pedophile. He is a sexual predator, but not a pedophile. Unless, of course, you have some data not presented in the article that speaks to this man having had sex, or attempted to have sex with a per-pubescent child.
