Icelands EU-skeptic opposition groups are facing off with the island-nations pro-EU government ahead of a general election on Saturday (27 April).
Polls indicate voters are likely to unseat the ruling Social Democrats in favor of the Progressive or Independence center-right parties. The Financial Times reports one in two are likely to vote for a different party than they voted for in the last parliament elections in 2009.
Fishing represents some 40 percent of the small countrys economy. Joining the EU would mean quotas and rules would be negotiated and decided upon in Brusselsthe two are already engaged in a mackerel quota dispute.

sorry but most Americans are cabbages, from seeing first hand on a college campus last week, to dealing with people on the phone to talking to the average American at a party last week to seeing a guy in CA with a petition asking for signatures to get rid of our rights then I can only conclude most Americans are spoilt cabbages
Don’t take a college campus as a microcosm of the whole USA, please. If it were, we would have had the Second Amendment gone long ago via the gun control that the leftist politicians want to impose.
They should return to sacking and looting the EU.
