On Wednesday, Mother Jones ran an article making a shocking claim: more Americans have been killed by conservative terrorists than by Islamic terrorists since September 11, 2001. “While America has been fixated on the threat of Islamic terrorism for more than a decade, all but a few domestic terror plots have failed,” the article explained. “Between September 11, 2001, and the end of 2012, there were no successful bomb plots by jihadist terrorists in the United States …. [R]ight-wing extremists killed 29 people during those 11 years.”
But is it true?
The Mother Jones piece is based on a study by the New America Foundation and Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. But that study routinely labels non-right-wing murderers right-wingers, and labels basic crimes involving murder “terrorist attacks.”
Here is their complete list of “rightwing terrorist attacks,” with number of killed in parentheses:

The list does not include the Beltway snipers (11 killed, including a 2002 shooting of a Tucson man); Mohammed Ali Alayed, who slashed a Jewish friend’s throat after reportedly undergoing a religious revival; Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, who used his SUV to attack students (9 injured) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in revenge for “the deaths of Muslims worldwide”; the list goes on. The list also does not include honor killings (the equivalent to the George Tiller assassination), or random murders involving Muslims (the equivalent of half the items on the “rightwing terrorist attacks” list.
Naturally, the study does not bother to list left-wing terrorists.

I really would like to know why Brietbart or one of the other Conservative outlets does not do an in-depth investigative multi-part/in depth piece on how often the media has lied over the years, in what direction, with full examples and with names named.
Then push it hard and do not back off. And I mean do NOT back off. Not the occasional story that we all see and the genpub ignores. Make it so thorough and naming so many leftists in the media that it can’t be.
And I mean examples of left BS that has hurt the victim groups. The stories ignored/dropped/buried (Africa/Aids, Homelessness under a Dem president/ Black unemployment and promises etc.
Sure the MSM will their spin. But since people are questioning them and the Dems more by the day, the ‘C’SM might wanna strike while the iron is hot and drive the narrative for a change.
Might even get results.

If one’s reads the article, it’s clear that most of what MJ reports as “right wing” is not “right wing” in any meaningful sense, and many of the incidents have no political motivation at all (for example, one clown who killed somebody because a dog peed on his lawn).
But the purpose of the MJ article is not to report facts, it’s to give cover - within week, bozo’s like Juan Williams and Bill Maher will be arguing that there’s published data that right-wing terrorists have killed more people than Islamists, and if they’re debating anyone with any sense, those folks will not have wasted their lives reading crap in Mother Jones, and are unlikely to have assimilated all of the info in the Breitbart piece.

I believe many of these studies they tout ar in the mid of one person who writes the article and makes up the garbage they write themselves.
It’s really quite easy for a Journalist to site an article and facts they make up themselves.If they really want a study they can go to any socialist-Marxist University and ask any Communist Professor for one ,and they will gladly make one up.

Those are great points, and worth repeating. One of the reasons why I don’t like seeing Islam referred to as a “dangerous cult” is that I know the left puts the Catholic Church in the same category. Islam is absolutely dangerous in terms of violence (in a way that Catholics are not), but to the left we are equally dangerous.
I’m certain the American Left has done much more damage to our country than all of the Muslim terrorists combined, through their control of the government, the classrooms, and our media. There is no doubt in my mind; heck, we wouldn’t have allowed many of our terrorists into this country without the pressure from the left to do so. The WASP way of life is viewed as the biggest danger by the left (and I’m not a WASP).
