Gun control is dead!

For the most part gun control legislation is dead for the foreseeable future. While the nation was watching the horrific events happening in Boston the U.S. Senate failed to pass anything. President Obama was quick to hold a press conference but it was more like a public temper tantrum, hardly anyone noticed.

Could it be that because while he was holding this press conference Boston was in lock down? I have a few friends that live in Watertown and I know they were locked and loaded. Protecting family members should this guy have tried to get in their house. He was captured only a hundred yards down the road. Watertown is much like Cambridge in the sense that they pretend that the bubble they live in will never burst, a "safe haven" if you will. I predict guns sales in Watertown will skyrocket in the coming months.

It's noticeably absent from the news media what kind of guns these two radicals extremist were carrying. I know they had at least two hand guns and a rifle. What kind of rifle? I guess that's not important enough for us to know. In other words, it wasn't an assault rifle. In any case neither terrorist was licensed to have any of the weapons or bombs. Imagine that! How could that be, don't we have laws? This is exactly why people like me feel that restricting free people's rights only limits what law abiding citizens can do, not terrorists or criminals and we are right.

Correctly, our rights should not be subject to public opinion and enough Senators understand that. The rest will have to answer to the voters in their states. Unfortunately for Massachusetts voters our two senators voted in lock step with Diane Feinstein. Two more useful idiots.

It will be interesting to see if the author is correct that firearm sales will increase. Massachusetts has some of the nastiest firearm laws in the United States.

The author is quite incorrect. Colorado just passed more junk.

It’s simply gone back underground for a bit. The lefties will be back with a vengeance some day.

Should read Federal gun control is dead. Since SCOTUS refused to hear an appeal of the NY State law, blue states have a pretty free hand to do as they will.

Never assume any of those nefarious, freedom-stealing goals of the left are “dead.” Remember when we all breathed that deep sigh of relief when Scott Brown won the Senate race in MA in 2009, then the dems proceeded to work an end-around by playing with the “reconciliation” process?

Those left are inherently evil, but areoften highly cunning and bear constant watching. To conclude anything on their wish list is dead, is folly.

Massachusetts is to the left of San Francisco, so no surprise on this one.

” For the most part gun control legislation is dead for the foreseeable future.”

My guess is that Obama and his henchmen will wait till the furor over the Boston bombings subside, then they will try again. There is, however, nothing stopping Der Fuehrer from issuing some executive orders now while the mainstream media isn't paying attention.

Yes... very much so. Just like the cancer they are. They are always probing, pushing, nudging.... seeking out a divide-and-conquer weakness.

The left never gives up on their goal.

If you see the hammer only on the backstroke,
it’s puzzling how that nail gets driven in.

It’s far, far, far from ‘dead”. There are many ways they can get it done, and they’ll use all of them until they force CWII.

The left is like the Muslims - they’ll take all the advances they can without using violence, then use violence to get the remainder.

0scumbag&Co have 3½-yrs to get it done, and if 2014 goes badly and we lose the US House, it'll happen very quickly.

Gun banners are worse than Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, and Freddy all rolled into one. They just can’t be killed.

The only way to keep the gun control nastiness under control is to go on the offensive. That is, to push for more gun rights at the federal, state and local level.

This should begin by politically punishing those who advocate for gun control.

And where the gun rights issue is pretty well “maxed out”, then push for related complementary laws, like a streamlined death penalty for multiple and heinous murderers.

This indirectly supports gun rights, because it further legitimizes the use of lethal force in self-defense.

It is also a very frightening prospect for criminals, in that if they, or their associates, are armed when they commit a crime, and anyone is killed, they could be looking at the death penalty. In effect making it much safer to commit *unarmed* crime for them.

All told, it is preferable to meet an unarmed burglar than an armed robber.

Yup. Since 1994, these effing braindead libs want us dead and slaves to the inept donut-eating cops who could not even show up on time. It was one of obama’s promises when he got sworn in for Regime part 2 so we have 3 more years to stand guard.

Oh please! Obama has only begun.

There is the UN Small Arms Treaty that Obama will sign along with the Senate, and any Executive Orders that may make lead bullets (EPA), “Assault Weapons” (NFA), and import of foreign guns and ammo illegal at a stroke of his pen. Don’t think he will do it? Especially after that tantrum he threw after the Senate wimped out on him?

He has 3.5 years left...

It’s coming, Just wait...
