This is what bothers me the most. While many people celebrate the defeat of that bastardization of law, they fail to recall that 45% of the communist bastards supported it (along with vaguely similar public support), and that is 45% too much. 50 years ago, that would have been 20%. 150 years ago and there would have been a rope swinging from a tree and the one guy who proposed such legislation would be hanging from it. It’s only a matter of time and that troubles me deeply.

Unfortunately, that's just what many naively believed when the sodomites "just wanted government out of our bedrooms". They gave them their way and got government out of their bedrooms. A short couple of decades later, the sodomites are in the process of accomplishing forcing government into everyone else's business, literally. This is the left we're talking about, without movement-"progress"-they die. They're like sharks, they must keep swimming or die. Conservatives are in the unenviable position of needing to stand still to accomplish our goals, but these days, government must always be seen to be "doimg something" to justify its own never-ending reach. So momentum is naturally on the side of the "progressives", the left, and now the big-government "right".

Exactly. That yearning for power and control over us will never go away. It is just in some people's nature to want to control their fellow man. These people will be back.

Times have really changed, and the media is 100% against the 2nd Amendment and in 0scumbag’s pocket. They’re going to get this done, one way or another. CWII is a distinct event.

gun control is far from dead. It can be killed but it will require time and constant vigilance. Keep on birthing brand new assault rifles, paying attention, staying in touch with your represenatives, supporting the NRA, GOA, and pro gun politicians, and TAKE SOME KIDS TO THE RANGE WITH YOU AND GET THEM INTERESTED IN SHOOTING.

You are right about control. The regime can regulate the gun business to the brink of collapse through executive orders. OHSA, FTC, and EPA among many other agencies can make operating a living hell for gun and ammo manufacturers and dealers.

Those who believe we can keep electing Democrats, and avoid gun control are sadly mistaken.

Exactly! Obummer is toying with a comprehensive import ban on not only guns but ammo, parts, or anything gun related.
Bush Sr. did it in 1989, Clinton did it in 1994. The Commerce Department is part of the executive branch & the Prezz’s to do with as he pleases.

For the most part gun control legislation is dead for the foreseeable future. . . . President Obama was quick to hold a press conference but it was more like a public temper tantrum, hardly anyone noticed. A quote from Bertolt Brecht comes to mind:
Do not rejoice in his defeat, you men.
For though the bastard is dead,
the bitch that bore him is again in heat.

Gun control will never lose. Your communists King will see to it that you are defenseless and he will instruct his brown shirts to line you up over open pits. Is that strong enough? Doubt that and whoever is reading this, you are a fool.

***It’s noticeably absent from the news media what kind of guns these two radicals extremist were carrying.***
Precisely what I have been saying for the last few days. A news blackout on the types of firearms they were using.
Ordinarily the police come out and give the press a photo op with the seized firearms, call for new gun control laws, but in this case....nada.

Massachusetts’ nasty firearms laws were pushed through under the watchful eye of the left of Rino Mitt Romney, and he signed off on them.
Colorado was supposed to be a test case so that the Bambi Muzzie could point to Kolorado, and see, a western state has done this, and what they have done is good for the whole country. The Leftist legislature/gov in Kolorado listened to the dictation coming from DC on how to write the legislation.
FAIL...FAIL...FAIL...and if gun-grabber Mitt were POTUS today, we might have been ‘blessed’ /s with serious gun control legislation...
