Congress still at cyber odds after CISPA passage

It’ll be months before there’s a bill — or multiple bills — in the Senate, as chamber aides say the committees are still dividing up the issue by turf. And that means it could be well past the summer before the Senate convenes a floor debate on any element of cybersecurity reform, much less a conference committee that might hammer out differences over the small slice of the debate CISPA occupies.

Sponsors, however, told POLITICO they had no reason to fret. “We’ll now go through the process, go to the Senate, we hope to resolve some of the remaining issues that are there,” Ruppersberger said in an interview after the bill’s passage. “This is what Congress should be doing.”

There was also an article posted here on FR about the wife of the man who proposed this bill, being in a position to make a lot of money off of it.

Anyone else remember it? I have scanned FR’s boards and can’t seem to find it.
