Red Hook, New York – A recent anti-bullying presentation at a middle school in New York that focused on homosexuality and gender identity has angered parents after their daughters have come home to tell them they were forced to ask another girl for a kiss.
According to reports, the session occurred last week at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, New York, near Poughkeepsie. A group of students from Bard College led two workshops for the youth, separated by gender.
During the workshop for girls, the 13 and 14-year-olds were told to ask one another for a kiss. They were also taught words such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”
Parent Mandy Coon told reporters that her daughter was very uncomfortable with the exercise.
“She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough; now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” she lamented. “They also picked two girls to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date.”
Coon stated that she was especially irate over the matter because parents were given no warning about the presentations, nor an opportunity to opt out. She is also dismayed that college students were granted the right to come into the classroom and encourage her daughter to be sexually active.
“I am furious,” she declared. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”
“The school is overstepping its bounds in not notifying parents first and giving us the choice,” another parent remarked. “I thought it was very inappropriate. That kind of instruction is best left up to the parents.”
According to reports, during the workshop for the adolescent boys, the students were counseled to keep a condom in their pocket at all times, and were taught how to identify a woman who is a “slut.”
“I was absolutely furious – really furious,” an anonymous parent told reporter Todd Starnes. “These are just kids. I’m dumbfounded that they found this class was appropriate.”
However, both the school principal and the district superintendent are defending the workshops, and are advising that they will schedule more. Superintendent Paul Finch told The Poughkeepsie Journal that the presentation was “focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.”
“[We] may require more notification to parents” in the future, he said, contending that the sessions are required under the state Dignity for All Students Act, which prohibits harassment and bullying in the classroom.
He advised that Principal Katie Zahedi and guidance counselors at the school worked with Bard students to plan the workshops. Likewise, Mark Primoff, a spokesman for Bard College, said that students had volunteered to give the presentation after the school invited the institution of higher learning to participate in the workshops.
Zahedi asserts that the sessions were rather about saying no to unwanted advances as opposed to encouraging homosexual acts.
“In planning the discussion, we made it clear that absolutely no discussion of any sexual acts is appropriate to middle school, and they used the examples of a kiss,” she wrote in an online forum for parents. “It was a separate activity for boys and girls and ultimately about respect and safety.”
However, parents remain livid over the matter. A public meeting was held this week for residents to express their concerns.
It is not known whether girls actually had to kiss one another, or if the exercise stopped at the request.

Give it up! It is impossible to reform the government schools. They are the very definition of a socialist entitlement, single payer, Marxist dominated and government owned monopoly and price fixed cartel. When in the history of human existence has it been possible to reform that?
Solution: remove your kids. Encourage others to do the same a d work to shut the government’s socialist and single pay er schools down!

We cannot allow pressure from these deviants to remain a stumbling block from casting out this evil. People give up too easy, which is WHY they are so BOLD in what they do. As far as they are concerned, they don’t have any REAL opposition anymore BECAUSE of this...but must maintain that they do to further their agenda, whether through legislation, relentless protests, propaganda, payoffs, etc.
If you want to know how the devil operates, read the homosexual agenda. It’s purely an evil plan against God’s people. It’s quite disgusting, actually. You will not be a happy camper after you read it, as it involves our children as the target host. Once imbued, the connection between homosexuals and sin will be long erased from their minds as though it were never there. They will see this as a ‘stabilization’ of humanity. But it is an illusion. A deception, that the devil has prepared.

This is blatant open recruitment of children into the Homosexual Lifestyle done under the false name of Political Correctness or acceptance nonsense. Who's the Homosexual with obvious political connections behind it all would be the real big question.
I would have not only said no I would have walked out of the school to the nearest safe place and called my parents. No kid I went to school with at that age would have put up with this crap. Then again our principals and teachers had morals themselves.
Parents should sue, threaten to lynch the pervert teacher if there was no justice from this disgusting crap.

I looked at my wife and put my pen down and she did too. We both shook our head at each other no. We looked around and several more had done the same. About half were answering away. Finally after 15 minutes the instructor said OK times up. Now who all answered the questions? How did you feel when you read them? Well now you know how them kids feel when you ask them questions like that.
This was the nonsense being taught in a Foster Parenting class to deal with troubled kids. The lady did not have enough parental instincts to understand it is a parents duty and right to get into their kids personal business to protect them and guide them.
This woman had something hanging over the heads of many of the ones in the classroom. They were raising a grandchild, niece or nephew, and they watched closely for those not onboard with their village mentality.

Oh, yeah. The public school I attended for seventh grade, for all the stuff that ultimately drove me out, was still relatively sane about sexual stuff back in the Seventies. And the (Protestant) Christian school to which I transferred the next year and where I stayed through twelfth grade would even now, let alone back then, go “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
Got to agree with you - when they were trying to ram the apology to Aboriginals (in Australia) down the kids throats at schools my eldest boy stood up and said I am sorry for what happened to some Aboriginal people bit I am not going to apologize as I have never done anything to hurt one. The teacher gave him a bit of an argument but let it go. My response to him was “If you get any flack for this just let me know then I will sort it out”. Kids need to know you have their back. The Deputy Principal loved my visits - he could not object to a lot of what was being done as it was within curriculum guidelines but he sure as heck encouraged me to complain directly to the teacher(s).
