The Senate delivered a devastating blow to President Obamas agenda Wednesday by defeating a bipartisan proposal that would have expanded background checks on gun sales. It failed by a vote of 54-46, short of the necessary 60. A handful of Democrats voted against it and only four Republicans supported the measure backed by the White House. The vote effectively halted gun control in the upper chamber.

Now lets roll back many of the Unconstitutional gun laws.

I thought this was only an amendment to the gun control bill that got defeated, not the bill itself.

The Bill of Rights and Freedom are still alive in America!!! The DemocRATS’ obituary saying otherwise was a bit premature. America lives.

I don’t understand why the bill needed 60 votes to pass. Was it arranged differently? 60 votes is the normal cloture vote.

So, in Montana, Tester was just re-elected so he votes like a good little Democrat for the bill. Baucus has an election coming up, so he has to vote no. Tester, he’s for the Second Amendment unless the Democrat party tells him different. What a worm.

His Arrogance even stated in the press conference that there was a provision in the bill to outlaw gun registration. What wasn’t said was more important ... Eric the Corrupt is the AG and His Arrogance instructs him on which laws to enforce ... remember the Defense of Marriage? Any deal with him should be considered a deal with Satan.

Told one of his staffers pretty much the same thing, except I also threw in senility and Alzheimer’s. He slammed the phone in my ear. I do own some property in Arizona which provides me with an Arizona mailing address to use and so sent him an email, even though I’m not registered to vote there. Not holding my breath waiting for a response.
Attended one of his town hall meetings last year. He does NOT like to be challenged and is totally hateful to anyone who disagrees with him.

You need 60 to end debate. Otherwise it just goes on and on and on....
