Sounds to me like they have someone they DO NOT want to reveal because of their connections to Islam/Muslim governments. IF its someone directly connected to ruling families in Saudi Arabia what COULD they do? This government is sympathetic and supportive of all things Islamic. Major political hot-potato. The spin- or the framing of someone else- will take time.

My bet is that some additional information came to light warranting a postponement.
That, or they could frantically be searching for another anti-Islam YouTube video to blame.
Seriously, the meme Obama would have us believe is that Bush’s WOT was an utter failure. Obama’s approach of appeasement and turning a blind eye has won the war and eliminated terrorist actions in the U.S. and on U.S. soil overseas. He has been fortunate in that there have been no serious attacks here even though there were close calls.
Benghazi screwed that meme royally, but the public wasn’t interested in getting to the bottom of it because it wasn’t here.
Boston changes the whole ball game. If this is Islamic terrorism, it’s on U.S. soil on Obama’s watch. His HSA has failed. Oh, there will be (and already have been) attempts to blame political opponents (sequester, blah, blah), but nobody will seriously buy that.
There will be calls to allocate more money to HSA and it will not be politically smart to oppose that. More money going to HSA means less money going to moochers.
It’s Obama’s worst nightmare.
