Most I have seen are surveillance videos from private businesses.
Not to pick on you but the last time I checked I could put as many cameras around my property as I wanted to and point them anywhere public I decided to. Unlike the U.K. the majority of "big brother" cameras in the US are in private hands.

I'm afraid surveillance video is here to stay. Actually government surveillance is just part of the equation. Individuals will be recording anything and everything out of fun and to protect themselves against whatever. video recording costs will come down to the point that everything everywhere will be recorded by someone or something
