The debate in Washington on immigration reform has had no political impact, but the debate is having a major impact on south Texas, 1200 WOAI news reports.
Officials say the number of people entering the U.S. illegally is way up and, tragically, the number of undocumented immigrants who have been found dead in the unforgiving Texas Brush Country is way up, and is on path this year to beat last year's record for the number of people found dead in the ranch country.
Linda Vickers, who owns a ranch in Brooks County, which is Ground Zero for the immigration debate, pins the blame directly on talk of 'amnesty' and a 'path to citizenship' for people who entered the U.S. illegally. She recalls one man being arrested on her ranch not long ago.
"The Border Patrol agent was loading one man up, and he told the officer in Spanish, 'Obama's gonna let me go'." Border Patrol agents report that immigrants are crossing the border, and in some cases surrendering while asking, "Where do I go for my amnesty?"
"When you have amnesty waving in the wind, you're going to get an increase," Vickers says. "And when you get an increase, especially with this heat, you're going to get an increase in deaths."
She says the current increase in illegal immigrant entries began last summer, at almost exactly the same time as President Obama unilaterally announced plans to no longer deport young people who came to the U.S. as children with their illegal immigrant parents.
"Washington is directly responsible for these deaths," she said.

I'd put a bounty on illegals.
I'd charge them for the bus ticket to the border.
Before being booted out, they would be photographed, fingerprinted, and a DNA sample taken.
They would be put in a database and never allowed to set foot in the US again. No immigration, no work visa, no vacation/visit. Never allowed on American soil again.
If found on American soil, their ID would be verified against the database, and then they would be publicly and summarily hung, period.
Cold? Hard? Cruel even? Yes. We need to provide a strong incentive for the illegals to leave of their own accord, not come here in ever increasing numbers.
Every year tens of thousands of illegal people and tons of illegal drugs cross our "boarder" - I put border in quotes because it's not much of a border. How hard do you think it would be for some Islamic terrorist organization to put dozens, hundreds of operatives across our border? How hard would it be to bring in the components for dozens of chemical or biological weapons? Mark my words - there will be an attack. Maybe then, once a few thousand die needlessly, our so-called "leaders" will get serious about border security. Maybe not. Cruel or not, all we can hope is that the attack, when it comes, is high profile enough and enough "important" people feel the pain to actually do something.
Those who administer our political affairs,both Democrat and Republican, encourage the Mexican invaders to engage in criminal behavior. Remember whether Republican or Democrat these politicians have DONE NOTHING but talk about what should be done about the invasion. In the meantime Mexicans flood across the border. DOING NOTHING IS a decision as to what shall be administration policy. Encouraging a primitive Third Worlder to engage in criminal activity and to insult and degrade our law enforcement people is not a wise policy. Such a policy may blow up in the politicians bloated vice addicted faces. We the native citizens will pay the freight, as usual.
Try to stay away from Houston, San Antone or Dallas, but haven’t seen much Aztec militancy elsewhere around Texas.
Aside form their personal communications in Espanol, for the most part the Mexicans are trying to blend in. Except for some amorality toward stealing, they are strong family, willing to work and want freedom and security the USA offers. May be different in Big Cities.

What about if we just take your income to pay for all the illegals and their in state tuition, while American citizens have to pay out of state tuition if they are new to the state.
What about using your kids inheritance to pay for illegals to have first rate legal assistance, while your offspring has to scrape for it.
Would you rather have your wife/and or daughters raped by illegals or some family member killed when they plow through them while drunk driving.

I often muse about Mexico’s role/participation in all this illegal border crossing. Perhaps it is because there is nothing illegal as far as Mexico is concerned. Makes me wonder if the USA considers it illegal to go into Canada without some kind of USA acknowledgment. We went to Canada a few years ago but I can’t recall the protocol.

They push in traffic, grab diocesan money and jobs, make zero attempt to blend in, display no regard for traffic rules, pedestrian and auto, disregard unspoken (cultural rules)and refuse to even attempt to learn English.

They have been fingerprinting apprehensions for a several years electronically. It is the only way you can tell who you have because they always give fake names. It is interesting that just through the basic classification of a full set of prints you can really narrow down an identity. That classification can be down by computer, or fairly rapidly by human without that much training.
