UP FOR RE-ELECTION IN 2014

Lamar Alexander (Tennessee)
Saxby Chambliss (Georgia)*
Thad Cochran (Mississippi)
Susan Collins (Maine)
John Cornyn (Texas)
Michael Enzi (Wyoming)
Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)
James Inhofe (Oklahoma)
Mike Johanns (Nebraska)*
Mitch McConnell (Kentucky)
James Risch (Idaho)
Pat Roberts (Kansas)
Jeff Sessions (Alabama)

I sincerely hope those (some on the list) seeking to be re-elected lose their jobs.

Yes. Once the poison pills are offered, it will either die in the Senate or in the House.

Anytime the Democrats need votes, thay know that they can always rely on the Republicans. The reason no Republican voted for obamacare was that the Democrats had enough votes to pass it. Once again we have been betrayed.

68 yeahs. moves forward.

At least the Republican enemies of the Constitution all held hands together when jumping off the cliff. I fully expected them to draw lots (or choose the ones retiring or in the 2018 Senate class) to vote for cloture with 60 votes exactly to save the rest.

“Now Johnny boy will find out what its like to get primaried in 2016.”

One can only hope! We need remove from office every anti-constitution congress person that is up for election in 2014.

I am a conservative Christian and will not vote for someone who is opposite my views.

Why won't you help nominate people who agree with your views? I really don't understand why you wouldn't add to the power of your right to vote by participating in primary elections.

A vote to "allow" consideration of an unconstitutional measure.

If Republicans are of the belief that there must be an up-or-down vote on bills that violate the most unambiguous part of the Bill of Rights, then what is the purpose of serving in the Senate?

I was busy and unable to watch on C-Span. What happened to the “filibuster”? I don’t mean, that cloture was voted overwhelmingly. I found that out. I mean, why were Mike Lee and others unable to take and hold the floor? Wasn’t that their plan? Did they try to do that? What happened? Please, if you know...

Chamblis is retiring. He had to win a runoff in 2008 and knows he needs to move out of state once this term is up.

You expect that the Senate will stop this now? There is a nano-sized possibility we could get poison amendments that will doom the Senate gun-grab legislation but I doubt it.

Remember though the people on the RNC line are probably not even Republicans and have no knowledge of Republican politicians and issues at all. They are merely low-paid employees.

I think Coburn term-limited himself to two terms in the Senate. It will be good when he is gone; I one thought he was the best senator since Helms, but no more. OK people though probably don’t know how he has turned left.
