The Associated Press, after putting up a brief defense of the English language, ceded the term gay marriage, then illegal immigrant and finally Islamist. The left has a long history with political language and the media, so these latest triumphs were only a matter of time.
Dont tell me words dont matter, Obama once said, while insisting that they meant the opposite of what we thought they meant. The left believes that words matter because they allow people to communicate the wrong sort of ideas. Change the words and you change the ideas.

If schools taught Classical education and the Bible-—which was done until John Dewey, the Fabian socialist, who threw out the McGuffey Reader so he could “shape” the plastic minds of your children——then most people would understand that language shapes perceptions. (They would be able to Reason because they had true knowledge). He who controls language controls the ideas.

‘An islamist by any other name would be as murderous.’
Postmodernists believe that there is no ultimate reality or eternal truth. Derrida concluded further that words and sentences hove no inherent meaning He insisted that human beings construct reality through their use of language. When one hears or reads language, one will construct one's own meaning shaped by one's culture and life experiences. So, the goal of libtards is to shape the reality of the people by manipulating language.
