What do "Big Rig Bounty Hunters" and "Swamp People" on History Channel have in common? They both pummeled CNN and MSNBC's brand new shows' debuts last week in the ratings.
CNN's attempt to mimic Fox News' hugely successful "The Five" with a five person panel show called (get to) The Point" seems to have crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. The week-long tryout at 10:00 PM ET, in place of an Anderson Cooper repeat, was dead last in cable news ratings, finishing behind CNNHLN and CNBC.

Trying to aim for low information citizens? They are low info for a reason.
I am sure that I read somewhere, CNN and MSNBC, at times rated lower than the Weather channel.
It is kind of hard to have high ratings when your only viewer was Chris Dorner.
When you lose out to “Swamp People” you are pretty bad.
I heard they are bringing back Cross-Point. Been off for eight years. Will be curious how CNN presents the show.
I would agree....with the History Channel in full swing, and Fox News taking pretty fair numbers....I just don’t see CNN doing anything much after 7PM. They could put on cartoons and interview washed Hollywood stars....and it just wouldn’t get much better.
If stockholders exercised their own interests, instead of their “silent revolution” agenda, the jokers who run the Demwit partisan media shilling orgs would be sued and fired for violating their fiduciary responsibility.
CNN or MSNBC need to buy the rights to a show like TMZ and broadcast that in place of their news shows in order to get viewership points from their targeted audience: the low information dupes.
They may be in the toilet but they still need to be flushed.
CNN, MSNBC, they are like the Berlin Wall.
And it fell almost overnight.
Who are the five panelists on CNN's "The Point"?
Is one of them a token conservative like token marxist Bob Beckel on Fox's "The Five"?
Leni
You mean ‘Crossfire’? Palin already chuckled online about one of the networks who blasted her use of gun cross hairs reviving such a bellicose name for one of its shows.
That makes sense as the Weather Channel is actually useful.
The stockholders are usually large trust funds, and those usually go far left, and so they don't care about the money, just the propaganda.
I have a better question: What are Swamp people, and Big Rig Bounty Hunters doing on the History Channel to begin with.
Remember when it was a Hostory Channel?
Now it’s just another forum for crappy reality shows. that er fake from beginning to end. Surprised they don’t have the REPO guys on it.
I remember watch Crossfire with my dad. It was the grandaddy of the argument shows.
There, fixed it.
One possible bright note: CNN and MSNBC are doing better than Current. Which isn’t saying much. :)
Hooray! Even FOX News kind of makes me wonder. Get The Blaze.
