At this dangerous juncture, it may be useful to remember Pearl Harbor and some other lessons from history.
After all, there is some compelling evidence that North Korea just might be able to deliver on its threat to make a catastrophic nuclear attack on the United States: North Korea has conducted three successful nuclear tests, and has weaponized its nuclear devices into warheads that are deployed on its Nodong medium-range missiles. In December, North Korea successfully orbited a satellite weighing 220 pounds--so they could deliver against the United States, or against any nation on Earth, a small nuclear warhead. A nuclear weapon designed specially to generate a powerful electromagnetic pulse (EMP)--a single such "Super-EMP" warhead would be able to collapse the U.S. electric grid and other critical infrastructures, inflicting catastrophic consequences on the entire nation--would probably be deliverable by North Korea's so-called "Space Launch Vehicle" over the United States. North Korea orbited its satellite on a trajectory and at an altitude ideal for making an EMP attack on the U.S.. The Congressional EMP Commission warned in 2008 that North Korea was developing Super-EMP warheads. South Korean military intelligence has reportedly warned their government repeatedly that North Korea is developing Super-EMP warheads with Russian help. In 2011, a military commentator with the People's Republic of China stated that North Korea has Super-EMP warheads. Data from North Korea's nuclear tests are consistent with a Super-EMP warhead.
Moreover, North Korea claims it can destroy the U.S. with a missile strike. Recent TV footage of North Korea's military headquarters showed a map in the background allegedly depicting their plans for nuclear missile strikes against the United States. South Korean military intelligence reportedly observed that North Korea's so-called Space Launch Vehicle is included among the general mobilization of the North's nuclear missile forces.

he’d use one of our own or we have some emp weapon but blame it on someone else. now who right now could he blame it on?
Couldnt we just shoot it down with a missile before it activates
?
We have classified ways to deal with things like that.
So should we be worried about an EMP attack over CONUS?
First the Germans, now this? /s
There is a lot to be said for flattening these guys just so everyone can just relax and send a message to all rogue nations, you start causing crap and we’ll flatten you for the hell of it. You either step up and sort the looneys out or get of the ball game.
Take out Pyongyang and they have nothing. Its a one horse town.
Indeed it isn’t so much the threat as it is the headlines.
Can one discern an appropriate level of concern when we have the 0-team running things? Consider how we “handled” the father for decades without such escalations.
We know less about what the son is doing than we knew about Saddam Hussein. Does it not seem odd all these actions against a rogue nation and we know less about their abiity than when we invaded Iraq because of WMDs?
I always keep in mind the democrats have been itching to require a for the last decade. Most recently Rangel introduced this: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2989448/posts
What so many peopel fretted about was the women clause, but again I will point out this is the same bill introduced about 4 years ago(?) that requires not only women register. It is the same “Universal Service” bill. 0bama needs his military socialist complex and they will need a draft of both military and civilians to do this.
This escalation with NK feels wrong and the CIC is just as naively dangerous as Kimmie Kid overthere.
I am feeling like all this escalation is an 0bama strategic blunder.
I am seeing this as likely as FDR ignoring the japanese threat to pearl harbor.......
I believe they’re in cahoots yes. And Israel news states that scientists from Iran have recently been present at NK weapons facilities.
It’s like the perfect storm huh? It makes me second guess who exactly Mystery Babylon of the end times is. I’m feeling a bit fearful that we have this man in the White house during nuke threats to us!
LOL
I just realized: this is his Valley Forge moment!
Yep. A lot of people trying to pooh-pooh it, but I would point out that a lot of gunshot fatalities are from "unloaded" weapons that get treated carelessly because they "pose no threat". Kim may not be able to devastate the world but he might light the fuse that does the job.
They were never intended to do their stated business purpose.
They were reimbursements to campaign donors.
How is Nobama blundering in a strategic manner?
Two comments.
First, the NKorean’s do have submarines capable of deploying their missles.
Second and probably more realistic, it is time for their annual “stick your hand out” negotiations to get some relief from the U.S. (Seems I recently read something about that senerio being done on an annual basis. Anyone care to add something about that?)........
Maybe they can get Hillary of the campaign trail long enough to send over a snuke.
Long ago, when EMPs became a real threat, we should have embarked on a progrm of systematic decentralization of our power grid. Which the few smart people have been saying for along time.
IMO, DC has orchestrated the centralization of the grid deliberately so that it can be used as a weapon in the event of massive civil disturbance or rebellion. The people resist tyranny and, boom, down goes the power for 1/3 of the country. Everyone talks tough about standing up to the feds, but what happens when there is no power in multiple states?
The map I saw was all in English so I figured they got it from AAA in preparation for an upcoming road trip.......
We sure fumbled that window of opportunity. Could have forged an alliance against islamofascism, but the NWO pukes need islam to seal global fascism into place.
