Three months after some of his fellow Republicans voted against aid for Hurricane Sandy victims, New York Rep. Peter King is still furious, saying nobody gave a damn that there were people close to dying in my district and again calling out Florida Sen. Marco Rubio by name...
Guys like Marco Rubio in Florida and all the money your people have gotten in Florida over the years from every hurricane that comes along and this guy has the nerve to vote against money from New York, and they come up here and try to raise money, King said. He can forget it.

.
Oh get bent King.
Sheesh. Go Marco Rubio! :D
I haven’t forgotten how quick King was to start screeching for laws to protect congressmen after the Giffords shooting.
As far as FEMA is concerned, its quickly morphed into an entitlement for everybody no matter how ridiculous their reason. Ann Arbor Michigan is getting nearly a million dollars to tear down an old county owned garage because it sits in a floodplain that has never flooded.
Dear Congressman: Had you read the bill you dolt you would have seen all the pork like a new roof for the Smithsonian etc. Another used to be great Republican who has gone to the dark side with Graham,Mc Cain et all......wise the Tea Party is coming after the idiots in both parties...
One pols FEMA is another pols Amnesty
Exactly.
King knows what the problem was. He is just ranting to his constituents. Seeking votes on the cheap.
It was all the attachments to the bill that got it turned down.
Hey King where is all the pork that has been attached to the money to come from? Gee, maybe it is time for the people of NY to be self sufficient. Always a big storm begging for handouts. What happened to Joplin, Missouri, in terms the people of Missouri worked to help that city out.
But like always the people on he East Coast after a storm beg and bitch and moan when they do not get their share of the pie. what about home owners insurance?
Pete, you dumbass. Rubio and others voted against that bill because it was full of CRAP like money for Alaskan fisheries. Where exactly do we have money to pay for that?!
Republicans openly fighting with each other over taxpayer subsidized pork! Whodda thunk it? Yup! The GOP “brand” is finished. “He’s dead, Jim”.
Well I certainly objected to the Sandy money. If you lose your house THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. I don’t owe you one dime. Similarly if I lose my wife, my house, my job, my car, or anything else that is mine, that is MY problem, and neither you nor anybody else owes me spit. Sandy money is WELFARE money, welfare is BAD, welfare does not respect my God-given right to MY property.
If we really want responsibility in government we’ve got to keep tax dollars local and stop relying on our rich uncle.
all the money your people have gotten in Florida over the years from every hurricane that comes along a
“voted against aid for Hurricane Sandy victims”
No Pete, they didn’t “vote against aid”!
The voted against the TENS of BILLIONS of Dollars more than were necessary!
The game is if there’s $10B in damage, vote for $60B in aid, and then every agency from coast to coast steals a bucket full, while the victims are still sloshing around in the muck.
Do you know how many people ON THIS SITE, have said, “Oh, it’s not the Sandy money we object to; it’s the pork.” Wanna know why this country is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? It’s because a great many “conservatives,” after 50 years of brainwashing, cannot even recognize blatant, naked welfare when it slaps them in their ignorant pig-dog faces.
Peter King is just another bloodsucking scum politician. I am so sick of these posturing, disingenuous parasites.
Peter King supported that pork-laden slush fund?
Wow... That is disappointing.
I agree, we need to go back to the old local civil defense model and stop expecting government to pay for acts of God.
We need Calvin Coolidge.
Speaking of Unions... many won’t forget how they were treated by the Unions when they offered to help.
